I have gotten a couple calls from this number to my cell phone.  Once, I missed a call and they did not leave any messages.  The second time they called, I picked up, but no one said anything on the other line and hung up after about 7 seconds

Watch out for this number!  I got call today claiming they are from Hoag hospital, which is a well respected one from this area ( Newport Beach).  They claimed to know some secret lab report for my son and proceed to ask his birthday, so on....I almost got fished in as my son was sick and had some diagnosis down there.  Usually your doctor shall call you for information.  The hospital never revealed any information, even if I asked them in person.

Received a call on my cell from this number and missed it.
Called back and it was answered as the business office at Hoag Hospital. They were making a courtesy call about a payment due (not collections, just a courtesy call). I would advise not to give out any information to unknown persons on the cell phone, but this call was legitimate to me. They informed me of the date of service (that was correct) and the non insured payment amount due from me(that was also correct) and I told them I had already sent the payment.
I checked the Hoag billing statement, and this 888 phone number is listed at the bottom. Again, please verify and don't give out sensitive information to callers, but in my case this was not a scam number call, just a courtesy call about my insurance co-pay and amount due for services at Hoag Hospital.

It's Hoag Hospital.  I called them back today.  They said "Hoag Hospital Business Office".

i've been getting calls from this number for months sometimes at 4 a.m.

Multiple times over several weeks, I've been geting calls from 888 400 5719. But as soon as I pick up, the system hangs up on me. This is EXTREMELY RUDE!

The people who I talked to were really nice, I'm a skeptic and did some digging, they're an extended business office of the hospital, and ended up handling some issues I had.

Hoag Hospital has this number listed on their website.  Annoying when it calls it hangs up.

If you made an emergency room visit and didn't pay a deductible, they will call.  They should send you something in the mail too.  Forward their letter to your insurance company.  You are only responsible for your copayment.

I just got a call and when I answered they hung up.
