- Robin| 1 replyCalled, left voicemail that they were a debt collector
- Caller: ACI
- Call type: Debt collector
- Steven| 4 repliesThey call and intentionally give the wrong name in which they are hoping you will call back to tell them you are not the person they asked for. Then they request to know who you are and begin the not very polite statements. Do not call them back under any condition.
They are bottom feeders in the debt collection world, very aged debts in excess of 10 years. Most likely all of the employee's and principals of this company removed all the mirrors in their houses as they have a hard time seeing themselves for jerks they are.
Give it up ACI, get a real job and maybe your family will love you again...- Caller: ACI

- Ryan replies to RobinI don’t think a O in the debts but this number keeps calling me and no one answers when I pick up the phone it’s obviously a Robo call. Who is this is a bad phone call
- WhyCantWeStopThemI received a call from ACI and got their voicemail stating they are a debt collector. I actually called back because I have been getting a few calls that were sounding semi legit. It turns out that there is a very similar name and birth year to mine, which is odd because I don't have a common first or last name, but it is what it is. I am not the person they were seeking and the name they gave is a name I see when I search on my name on "People Search" sites like Radaris. So, it seems I am gonna get calls for that other person. I will know now just to ask if it if for "John A Dough," and not "John C Dough!"

- SandyCheeks| 4 repliesCalled me & DID leave a message. Name stated of person calling was Michael Zilka and said he was from American Curadious International and to call this number back. Msg was very brief like 15 seconds. This wasn’t first call received from this number. He sounded like an older white guy not like someone from India. All sounded legit but I haven’t called back and don’t plan to.

- BigA replies to SandyCheeks| 3 repliesThat is not the name of the debt collector.
- SandyCheeks replies to BigA| 2 replies“American Curadius international LLC” is what I found online and it’s a financial institution that represents banks and such. Website: Americancotadiusinternational.com
- SandyCheeks replies to SandyCheeks| 1 replyOops.. misspelled website.
Americancoradiusinternational.com - BigA replies to SandyCheeksYes, I know who they are. It is not a "financial institution". It is a third party debt collector that uses illegal tactics to collect debts.
You will need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation (by law they have to go back to the original creditor to prove you owe the debt), cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (this will be the best money that you have ever invested). Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it. Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter. You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to. Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment. If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt, and we would all be the richer for it. Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front): http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

Everything else you need to know follows including at least two or more federal and state agencies where you should report their criminal activities.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it. You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified. If and when you get that letter you should immediately send that debt validation letter by certified, return receipt mail.
First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file complaints with the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

I wish I had the tenacity to do all the research and information gathering as you do. I don’t have the interest, desire or patience for it. But maybe I haven’t been harassed as much or enough to have reached my limit yet.
Thank you again!! I’m sure others appreciate your diligence on this matter and hopefully will utilize the wonderful info you’ve provided us all today on this very corrupt society of criminals! Not only for this so called company but for any others that are trying to scam anyone out of their hard earned money.
