888-400-8987

I received a call from 888-400-8987 on January 10 and the caller just hung up without saying a word. These type of calls were almost stopped in 2012 and now I'm getting at least two /day since the new year. I'm wondering if the law was changed as to protect these callers. Could tit have been hidden into the latest federal omnibus bill?

Get yourself a call blocker at amazon. I have one and it works great!! it frustrates the crap out of them as they disconnected on the first ring. Eventually they just give up trying to call and it looks good on them for being such a pain in the butt

sick of these - 2-3 a day, no body there, call it back and just rings. This has to stop

Has called at least twice a day for the past 2 weeks. They say nothing at the other end. Very frustrating and a waste of time.

Calls atleast twice a day on my office phone I pick it up and no one is on the other end every time I even wait to see if it is a delayed connection.

4 hang ups in one day - just a beep and nothing - the number when called is out of service - just for incoming calls apparently

Apparently they are using a robo-call device to call numbers in order to find out when someone answers the phone.

Why, I don't know.

You may call 1-661-253-5030 and complain.

That number is for TCAST Communications, the company who sells blocks of 888 numbers to other companies. They know who is harassing you and will send them an email asking them to STOP bugging you.

If that doesn't get action, call the police and report the harassment so you can get a subpoena.

Then you can either take them to court, file criminal harassment charges, or, take an automatic weapon to the company in question and start shooting at everyone that works there. :)

Get them to stop it. I will have to report this to the police. It is very annoying and not the practice of anyone that I know. Get them to stop!

"ameyo" on call display. Do you know what a company called "Ameyo" offers? 'Predictive dialer' features, to name one. Automated callers.

received a call on my business line at 10:41 a.m. from 1-888-400-8987 asking for someone who hasn't worked here in almost 10 years....could barely understand him he spoke so fast, wanted me to save money on my merchant fees.

Credit Card Merchant services of some sort.  Must be a really 'legit' business if their call back number is not in service.  I can't believe anyone would ever do business with a company who refuses to tell you who they actually are, or one that must conceal its phone number.  Another number added to the blocked list.

We keep getting calls asking if i take care of the "merchant accounting" at my work
we've asked NUMEROUS times to stop calling us and she doesn't get the picture.
next time (I forgot to today) I will be telling her that I'm reporting the phone number for harassment, that has stopped phone calls to my home before.

They called today asking to speak to person in charge of merchant accounts...I asked who is calling...no response

Keep getting this call from our business, regarding our debit machines... they keep asking to speak with the owner but argues that I keep telling them they are not available. They have called again and hung up, I called them back, and this guy claims his name is Brian from merchant services stating our debit machines have had changes... does not seem legitimate from what he is saying. I am surprised this phone number is a call back and someone DID answer. very strange. 1-888-400-8987

today i calle dback, asked for the owner, got someone different than who answered, asked him if he was the owner, then asked if he is aware fo the current changes to debit processing on his point of sale system, he was confused, i aske dif i was annoying him, he said yes.  Then i lost it, tore a strip off of him and demanded my number be removed form his database, these guys are total crooks, they want copies of bills and account numbers sent to them via fax to an offshore number,  who would deal with such a company, I am vexed

I have been stringing them along as they call every day despite being reported to the National Do Not Call List..

I managed to get a toll free fax number that connects. I am going to a fax that is 20 pages long in all black. That should waste their toner, fax time and tie up their fax machines. It will also cost them for toll free charges.

shite...What i was going to say was I called the 1-661-253-5030 TCAST Communications number and they no longer own that 1888 number and obviously couldnt help me.  But in the last several days ive received at least 5 calls per day.  Ive told them over and over to remove me from their call lists, but they now recognize my voice and hang up on me.  I think it is the same few people on the phones and Im guessing they are hoping that someone new answers.  guh.
