- Narissa| 1 replythese guys are scammers. They claim to be Epstein & Rothman. One, tell them to serve you with papers!! Notice how they do not "mail" correspondence but they call or fax. Ask for their address...(they wont tell you). they had a phony website up for like three days..They cannot garnish your paycheck without a court order, or if you were even summoned.
- Caller: Epstein & Rothman-aka Scammer
- Call type: Debt collector
- Joyce replies to NarissaThanks Narissa, I just called that number and asked what company they were and she kept asking me if someone had contacted me, never would tell me what company it was and I just kept asking, then she hung up on me. Isn't there something that can be done about these scammers calling you on your job and harrassing you on your cell phone?
- Spokane receptionist replies to HarrassmentSame thing here....I've also been told (when he threatens arrest) to ask for his badge # so that you can call the police dept to verify it, my bet is he doesn't have one, hmph...what a joke...beware people cuz not much we can do!

When I called them back after-hours on a temporary-issue work cell phone, I got a voicemail box.- Caller: Unknown

- Bagalicious replies to mikeHow did you pay them? They charged my credit card twice with another scheduled payment. When I realized who they were and what they were trying to do, i called my bank. Canceled my card, got issued a new and told them the situation. On my bank statement, charges read "First Capital Funding"...and after I told my bank that they dont even exist...filed a claim and received all my money back. Scammers!!.. Now they calling me stating the charges were chargedback...hellooo...of course. Now they are telling me that I will have wage garnishments and within 48 hours they are going to get a court order from my court in my district..blahblahblah. YOU NEED TO SERVE ME FIRST IDIOTS!!! No court is just going to go an grant a court order for wage garnishments without serving your a complaint (summons to sue) first! retarts
- LappiesI received a call from Michael Wescot yesterday at some Epstein lawfirm. He left a message saying that there has been some fraudulant activity on my social security number and I need to contact them. He left a case number etc. I was on vacation and in an area where there was no cell coverage and only got the message today. To say the least, I was petrified about the message and it ruined my holiday and couldnt wait to get home to call. I have tried several times to call but keep getting music and then a recording telling me to leave a message. Then I thought let me google the lawfirm and number, and here I am. WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT THIS?

- Tim J.Hi -- these guys called my dad at his home number that they had only only for a year, and asked for my wife by her MAIDEN name (which she has not used in 14 years). We used to be up to our eyeballs in debt but have paid or settled everything as of 3 years ago.
So, between reading about their tactics here, and knowing that we don't owe anybody anything, we're just not going to respond at all. If they have the balls to serve papers, then fine, I'll use the same lawyer that helped me with my old debts when I was doing all my settlements.- Caller: Jocelyn something
- JudyThis man Michael Westcott had also called me, stating my social security number was in danger and that court orders were pending. He scared me with all these threats, and he knew an actual balance I have on a loan -- so I set up a payment arrangement with him that was suppose to withdraw monthly. Instead, they were trying to charge my card every day for 3 days! So I called my bank, cancelled the card, reported the fraud activity, and right now am waiting for the bank to do its investigation. I really hope it works out! =(

- Bikerdude64| 1 replyActually, I had a couple online payday loans that were outstanding and they mailed me a letter validating that it was a legitimate claim and when I got done paying the also mailed me out a receipt. I guess I understand why everybody is so suspicious of this company, but how can you expect to borrow money and not repay it? Yes, they may come across a little harsh and over the top but if you owe money why bother dodging to pay it back?! And they also explained to me that if requested, they have to provide an address etc (which they provided to me on the spot).
- Caller: Sandra W.
- Rob replies to Bikerdude64LOL this was posted by the company scamming!!!!
- Sherry BraggThe lady called name Mary said she had to sign off on a addiciat on an payday loan that was made on 7-14-11. She said she was from Florida. tried not to give me any infomation on this matter. I explained to her that there is 17 people in this state that have the same name and my ssn is always used to claim any money. She didn't want to hear that. Beware

- WellinformedLaugh in their faces. There is absolutely nothing they can do to you. I give them a hard time on the phone. Turn the tables on them. Give them crap like they give you. Call them on their Bluff. If you owe for a pay day loan check and see if they (the origianl loan company who gave you the loan) have to be licensed in your state and what your state laws are regarding paydayloans. My state of washington only allows a max loan of 700.00 and you can only have one payday loan out at a time and you can only have 8 loans in a 12 month period. If you get a payday loan from a company from out of state after already having one in the sytem (all payday loans companies must be licensed and they have to all use the same computer tracking system) you do not legally have to pay them back and there is nothing they can do. So check your states laws.
