You're completely wrong. I spoke with a lawyer after receiving letters from this scam company and also two letters from the company you mentioned. I had intent to file a suit, but after it was investigated further, my lawyer's findings proved that American Home Protect puts their names on their letters and their letters are on file with my attorney general and have been deemed legal and legitimate. They also have legitimate registration with a variety of licensing committees in almost every state. I hate that they send me their letters, so I called in and it was an agent named Jose that immediately identified the company and took me off the mailing list. So, I understand you have a problem with them, just like all of us here, but spreading false information without doing the proper research doesn't help any of us. I can afford to pay my lawyer for the investigation, but some people on here may not be able to. Please do your research before spreading false information, our politicians already do enough of that!

Got the same letter as other people. Says "Secured by: Citizens First Mortgage". I knew this was a scam when I seen that. The bank has been closed for a few years now and is under a new name. Plus no return address on the envelope or letter. And the letter said the warranty will run out if I don't call in 5 days. I never had a warranty on my house. I have house insurance only. So please don't call this number. It is a scam.

Received a letter with very urgent messaging on it. It's a home warranty scam. Don't call them back, report them to the FTC.

The envelope says USPS Per.it #5283. If you call the post office they may yell you who it belongs to.

Yup. Got same scam letter. Paid cash house. I am the fixer. Fake check was made out to my late wife. WE had 42 years together. She was the best thing that ever came my way. Now 2 1/2 years later I get this. World series over I'm sure I have a bat around here. I would love to hit their balls.

I received the same scam letter today.  They had the correct name for the bank that was my
lender but I guess they don't know that I took out the loan more than 30 years ago and the
mortgage has been paid off.  Also, that bank has since been bought out by a different bank
and the name has changed.  If these scammers want to trick us, they should get the facts
straight.  Also, what a weird "check" that is supposed to be signed on both the front and
    the back??

You want to spend your money to send junk mail back?  I bet the Post Office loves you.

Oh, I long for past days, when junk mailers included business reply envelopes in with their adverts.  It was so gratifying to fill their envelope with the junk they sent me (and some from other mailers as well) until the envelopes were hefty and could barely be sealed, then be dropped into the post so they could pay to have their junk returned to them.  And it would not even cost me a penny!
I even had a rubber stamp to apply the message "Stamp Out Junk Mail!" on the back of the envelope.
But, if Edith wants to mail the junk back on her own dime, she is a fool.

And that is exactly why they don't include those return envelopes anymore.  Now here is another tidbit that I was told by a postal employee.  I can't verify whether it is fact or not but she told me that if the return address and the recipient's address are the same that if become business reply mail and you can mail it without postage and they will collect it when it gets to where it wants to be.  Like I said though I have no way of verifying that.

it's 2024 and these MFers are still sending their junk. They even misspelled my name. I'm wondering, do they really get somebody to fall for their obvious scam now days?

I received one of these SCAM  letters in the mail .  it was made out to look like a check.... but at the bottom   it said  "this is not a check"    which is a red flag that this is a SCAM.  it doesn't say WHO  sent the  letter  or WHERE the company is located .....which is another Red Flag..... the best thing you should do is Shred the letter into  tiny pieces and  throw it in the trash.  DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!

I have received two of these scam letters, one in 2023 and in 2024. Of course I immediately recognized them for what they were, and gave the information to the AG of Maryland's office, and to the Postal Inspectors as well for investigation. Being government, neither office took any action of which I am aware.  If I had the authority, I could track these scumbags down very quickly and bring some justice.

I also get a letter from a "home warranty company", not sure if this was the number or not since I placed it directly in my "Junk Mail Processing Device" (as I do with all junk mail) and when the Processed Junk Mail Bin fills up I will place the Junk Mail Confetti in the Recycle Bin for weekly collection.
