Received a call this morning from a heavily accented Philippine caller offering to sell "ink and toner" cartridges.  When I told him that he was lucky he was in the Philippines because he was breaking United States law by calling me; he hung up.  I did manage to keep him on the line for nearly 3 minutes. 3 minutes that he could not be calling and scamming someone else.

Called offering me FOUR options, ink and toner, cell phone service, computer repair and time-share opportunities.  LUCKY ME!

I told her I was interested in ALL FOUR and would pay any price no matter how much.  She took me seriously!  We started with the ink and toner and I told her I wanted 150 cartridges and to send it right away.

I looked into my spam folder while she was "processing the information" and gave her the name and address from a nigerian email scammer I had floating around in there.

Told her I had to put her on hold a moment then disconnected.

HE HE - five minutes of amusement on such a dreary afternoon!

The worst attempt at telemarketing I've ever heard.

Called back and asked for a manager - hung up on me twice.

Please tell you friends about this post and let's eliminate these idiots.

Keeps calling me, I won't answer ... since I know it is a scammer.

This one is BAD DODO !!!.  A foreign caller harassing US folks. He was combative and rude.

Calls and hangs up.

Tired of getting phone calls from this company. What can I do to stop it?

is there ANY ability to block a harassing caller? This company has called six times today and four times yesterday. We’ve expressed we are not interested in their services and requested that they remove us from their call list but they just keep calling.

Their catch-phrase is that they need to speak to the person responsible for planning the IT Budget so that they can invite them to an upcoming seminar. I’ve gone so far as to say that I am that person and I can’t attend the seminar but nothing works.


The rep today was Sam Garcia. The rep yesterday was a woman but we couldn’t understand her name. By the way, the number they provided rings for a while and eventually is picked up by an “answering service” that was unwilling to transfer me without providing a name and number.

Slightly accented caller wanting to sell ink and toner.  Our toner needs are covered under the maintenance agreement for our copier, so I tried to convince them to match the toner price (basically free since the parts use so far this year has exceeded the amount paid in so far).

I found this contact information on their website: customerservice@uniteddigitalsolutions.com
and sent the following email:
Our office recieved a phone contact from 888-404-7870 on 9/7/2010 at 2:12pm. When answered, there was no representative on the line; simply dead air.

We are writing today to ask that United Digital Solutions remove our contact information from your records and refrain from further contact, effective immediately.
