So - this wasn't an unwanted spam call at all.  Just wish they would have identified themselves on my caller ID so I would have answered it.  Our DISH equipment failed and we were without TV all week.  The fellow came out yesterday, exactly when promised, and was as nice as could be.  He replaced the faulty equipment, gave my husband all sorts of tips about the installation about the equipment and told him why the previous installation wasn't optimal, replaced some parts on the dish itself because they were getting old (that way we wouldn't have to call them out again so soon) and repositioned the dish so we'd get even better reception.  We've never had such a great experience with anyone coming to do repairs on our appliances, equipment or home.  We knew they would be calling to ask us to rate our experience and we were eager to do so. If we'd known that's what the call was, we would have answered.

I too wish they would have ID when calling.  We had repair done on ours this week and I got the call from them but didn't know it was DISH so I didn't answer it.

Called but I didn't answer, it was listed as unknown. If I'd know it was Dish I would have, they were here yesterday on a service call. They need to identify themselves.

We had a DISH call yesterday. Maybe it was them. I never answer my phone unless I know the area code. So if it was them, they should have left me a message with their number, saying who it was.

If my caller ID would have come up with Dish Network I would have probably answered the call.  I'll never answer any unidentifiable calls. If your so proud of your Dish Network service and want to communicate with calls to your customers, I think it might show some intelligence to at least let us know it is you (Dish Network) that is calling.  Continue to call under a toll free ID...... I'll continue not answering.

Got this number in an email, regarding some application I had done online, but no company name is given. (And was for something way different from Dish)

Unidentified caller from Canada is what my caller ID stated so I assumed it was spam being I have no known contacts in that area and did not answer.

i also would have answered if the call had been identified.  I've had a dish repairman out twice this week and he was excellent.

I SURE wish that LEGITIMATE businesses would show caller i.d. instead of "Not Provided".  I had a Dish technician at the house last week and he did an EXCELLENT job.  I would have liked to have the opportunity to give him a "well done".

Agree with all the other posters - DISH people NEED to have the Caller ID show that the call is from them instead of 'Wireless Caller', 'Out of Area', 'Private Caller', nothing shown at all, etc.  This would go a long way towards good PR.  If the Caller ID can show USGOV no matter where they call from then DISH can as well since they have lots more sophisticated equipment than the average US Gov office phone system.

This is a verified scam. They are using DirectTV numbers to cover their own number. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANYTHING! The lady at Direct TV said it was someone within their company. They knew all of my account info too. They were very unhelpful in trying to resolve this breech in security.

BEWARE! called the number back and received a message "Sorry this number is no longer in service".

unidentified caller, didn't leave a message.  According to the above, it must have been DishNetwork wanting to do a survey for the recent work I had done.  Would have gave them all high scores, but I don't answer unidentified phone numbers.
