Received a call at my work from Officer Matthew Carlisle of law enforcement. He was looking for a specific person (one of our employees) as there was an arrest warrant out for him. I advised him that I will not and can not disclose any information at all without written authorization from the employee. He said, "All the authorization you will get from me is my badge, gun, and an arrest warrant signed by the judge." I advised him that I didn't know the person he was looking for. He was extremely hateful and thought he low rough sounding voice would scare me. Too bad...so sad!!!! You could tell it was a collections call - I could hear a television in the background. Clearly he was calling from his home!!!

Today my employer received a call from a Matt Carlisle from some investigation firm (so said..unidentified company) and told my supervisor there was a possible arrest warrant issued for my arrest for possible check fraud (everything was "possible").  Right there HE BROKE THE PRIVACY LAW....you cannot disclose that kind of information about someone to a third party. Your in trouble Mr. investigator, my company doesn't take this kind of harrassment lightly.  Besides I know enough about law to know a person is not warned about an impending arrest warrant, they just come!

Matthew Carlisle called my house, my cell phone and my employer stating I did not repay a loan I never
took out. Then I received calls from Lisa Jones 678-389-6209, stating she was from some law firm in Georgia(I live in Ohio) threatening legal action. Both parties hung up when I pressed for information. I went to the local police(since both people threatened to have me arrested tonight at my place of employment). Will be filing reports with Fraud Prevention, FBI, FCC, etc to try to stop these people from harassing anyone else.

I received a call today from number 888-407-2761 from a Matt Carlile Law Investigator saying I needed to call him back about a warrant.I have not called him back as I have not done anything and I know this is a scam of some type. I also get calls from another number and the guy has a very thick accent like from India. I did answer that call one time last year and told him the person he was looking for did not live here, he had the wrong number. He continued to tell me he had a case against this person and their lawer needed to contact them asap. I continued to tell him he had the wrong number but he would not listen. I finally told him not to call my number again as he had the wrong number and I would not allow him to threaten me thinking I was that person and that I would report him. Would you believe he still contitnued. I finally hung up on him , he then called my number 5 more times in a row, one after the other. I was so ticked off I picked up the phone and screamed as loud as I could, funny right? He called right back, I let the machine get it each time and it finally stopped. That was about 6 months ago now he has started calling again and I never answer the phone any more if I do not know the number. THese people need to be stopped.

I too received a call from this Matt person.  They called my home phone saying he "was investigator Matt (couldn't understand his last name)i am an investigator for Gwinnett County." The county I live in. He said the call was for my daughter who is (20) and that she needed to give him a call right away at 888-407-2761 because he was about to put out an issuance of a warrant for deposit fraud. (whatever that is).  She's gotten calls similar to this in the past so i looked up the number and came across other posts about this number and this man from different areas.  So now i know that it is just some sort of scam and i can breath easy knowing my daughter does NOT have a warrant for her arrest.  Thanks for posting.

I too received a phone call from these low life scum. My wife also received a call, making accusations and threatening to have us arrested. Does any one know their Name other than the Law Office of Irving and Associates, and does anyone have a mailing address for them? I was told to send them a cease and desist letter, if they did not they can be fined up to $1,500 per phone call.

Mr. Carlisle called me at my job today to tell me that another investigator was coming to my job today to arrest me.  Mr. Carlisle stated that he was from the Check Fraud Department.  I proceeded to ask him from what company and he had to pause for a while because he could not answer me.  He then repeated himself and said the Check Fraud Department.  He then  he told me he is calling on behalf of a payday loan taken out in October 2011.  He proceeded to tell me that letters were mailed out to an address that I don't even live out and e-mails were sent out to e-mail address that doesn't even belong to me. As i started asking questions (obviously I knew this was a scam), you could tell that he didn't know how to answer.  I guess he thought I was stupid and didn't know that this was a scam.  He then told me that he was calling Human Resources to alert them that I was about to be arrested.  These scum suckers need to go find real jobs instead of trying to scam money of real people who work hard everyday.  The number he gave me started with area code 630.

Please do print up this thread and give a copy to your HR Dept and/or manager, so they know you're being harassed by scammers.

I received a phone call today, however it was not from the 888 number.  it was from 515-323-5250 saying he was James Cox with the Polk County Clerk's office, Criminal Division and that a warrant was going to be issued for my arrest if I did not call Matt Carlisle back at 630-426-6248 by Monday noon.  I didn't understand what for as he did not tell me.  I called the clerk's office and was told no James Cox worked for them and then I called the 323 number back and got a high pitch squeal as in a fax machine.  So i called the 630 number and got a recording he was Matt Carlisle Investigative Officer and was away from his desk.  I then googled and found this information, so I know this is a scam.  Besides, I have never done anything criminal and can't figure out how they got my number.
