Robo-called number on a tie-line from the sewers in Mumbai. My call dealt with a mortgage scam. What they really want is to obtain your personal info for identity theft, and a credit card number to post fraudulent charges for alleged processing and expediting fees. Based on the recommendation of numerous people on this website, we purchased a call blocker almost a year ago, and it now has over 700 blocked numbers. Does this indicate the total insanity of all these robo-calling fraudsters? Yes! The solution requires patience, but if everyone goes online to complain to your state’s Attorney General, the FCC and FTC, then eventually these devils will be shut down, fined and locked up. Blocked this one, too.

This is rated as a high risk fraud number on other websites, offering a multitude of frauds. There has to be something sinister about an operation which uses over 80 spoofed 888-407-xxxx numbers. We followed Errol’s recommendation above and filed complaints online. The call blocker was already installed. Blocked this one, too.

Fake tech support robo caller from India saying Microsoft has gone out of business and wanted bank account info. for a refund.  Does anyone fall for this BS?  Great to see that the US DNC list is working when they don't bother to enforce anything!

How is a list supposed to keep scammers from foreign countries from calling?
