Caller identified as timeshare rental company working with timeshare (Named) vacation owners.  Had all information pertaining to my timeshare and asked to lease it.  Took information by phone and said I would receive a contract to sign in 48 hrs.  Contract does not contain any of the information I was told.  Only my personal information.  When I read their email contract, they were notified and immediately accessed my account.  Do not answer phone calls nor has a call been returned.

I received a call from Eric who identified himself as a timshare travel agent.  He said this company
resorts2travel will pay me $800-1500 to lease one week of my timeshare to individuals that will participate
in conventions in the area.  He said I should look the information up on the internet call him back
when I was ready to make money off my timeshare.  The website does not offer any information.
Anyone can create a web page.  So I do not think resorts2travel is a legal business.

Resorts2travel has called before and been told NOT to call.

I assume this is a timeshare re-seller.  They have always hung up as soon as we answer the phone, but will call again and again - every couple of days.

Bought into the scam. :(  Caught me at a bad moment.  

"We are have an AARP convention, and we want to sell your weeks to them. We get them for 90 minutes for our presentation and you get $1,000 per week you sell to us."  (Not exact words but that's the summary.)  

When he gave me his contact information (888-407-7747 X109 and his name) I asked specifically "You are with RCI?"  "Yes"

<sigh>

Discover Card says they cannot stop a pending transaction, but I can file a dispute.  <sigh>

I signed with this company (Resorts2Rent) in late July and have gotten nothing!  Every inquiry is met with reassurances and promises, but no $.  After the 90 days came and went I asked about the 100% return of marketing fees and they said they automatically renew the contract 3 times if needed to get all weeks rented.  I really want to believe it's not a scam, but it's not looking good.  I turned it over to my credit card company as a dispute today :(

Me too....very curious how that dispute turned out...I filed today and am worried that the charge was so long ago 7/27 that they won't do anything...

Whenever I answer there is no one there and they don't leave a message when I don't answer.  They call a couple times a week!!!

Tammi, I don't know what credit card you used, but I hope that less than 6 months ago is still within the 'statute of limitations' if there is one. I found a fraudulent charge on an Amex account of ours that was a few years old and was still able to dispute it. It was just so small (less than $20) that I didn't notice it when I paid the bill originally. Good luck with getting your money back.
They call here regularly and never leave a message. Usually when I answer there is no one there, but some time ago, I asked them not to call again.

I have got a couple calls before and just got another one. Just silence and then a woman's voice says "bye" and it hangs up.

This number call and harrass me every single day for the past several months! My phone # is registered in the National Do Not Call List but this morons still calls me non-stop! Beware and don't even entertain them! These people are SCAMMERS!!!
