    Robocall with computer-generated voice. Claimed to be from Publishers Clearing House, and that I had won $5.5 million and a Mercedes. Obvious scam.
    I looked on the PCH web site, and they award large prizes in person, and smaller ones via certified mail. They also have some tips on their web site for spotting scams: http://info.pch.com/consumer-information/fraud-protection

    Dumb
    My husband received one of these calls.  He went as far as getting the certified check.  Thankfully the bank teller convinced him it was a scam and not to deposit the check in the account he was given at Chase Bank.
