Fraud!!!! They try to remote access into your computer to still sensitive data and money.

I forgot to mention, the automated call asks you to call them back at the same # when you get connected overseas to someone who tries to sound professional, but then gets angry when you ask them to just refund the money via check through a postal address.

Recording of a female asking you to call back asap 888-407-9597 to get a refund for a company that is going out of business. When you call back they request that you go to a site that allows them to control your computer. So that they can give you a refund of $329.

Sick of hearing this lady wanting to scam me for the 100th time!

4 messages, so far this week on my answering machine. They are relentless trying to say they have a refund for me. Recording is the same as everyone has commented.

no caller ID since they call my cell phone.  They leave a message.

Their software is too stupid to wait for the beep, so the beginning is cut off.  I looked elsewhere for this message, and I found the complete message.  I will reconstruct the message's start.  I hear, "You have paid for your computer technical support few months ago.  We are <END RECONSTRUCTION> calling to refund your money as the company has been ordered to close down.  Please, call our toll free number 888 407 9597 to get your refund.  I repeating again 888 407 9597."

I do not call them back.

Note the complete lack of a company name; this is a big red flag.  Based on their action on other numbers, they will try to get you to let them access your computer.  This will be either for identity theft (personal info), general theft (steal bank account numbers stored on your machine), or to install malware (that they will later charge you to remove).  Do not grant  them access to your machine.  Do not call them back as this is a SCAM.

The same scammers are using 888-407-2861 with exactly the same message.  Do NOT call them back.  They are looking to gain access to your computer to steal personal information.

I got this same call about five minutes ago.

Received a text message from 888-407-8873 telling me my Netflix account was past due and to follow the link provided to update my payment info. First, no link was provided...morons. Second, I know Netflix doesn’t have my phone number so I knew it was a fraudulent text.  Lowlife amateur scammers.
