Called 4 times today 11/13/07

Keep receiving calls from 1-888-427-4836.  Finally today I used *67 to block my number from them and dialed the number to them.  LifeSource answered.  It is a blood donation center.  FYI

I am receiving up to 5 or 6 calls from this number each evening.  When I pick up no one is on the other line.

I have been getting calls from this number several times a day for the past few days.  When I looked it up on Internet, I find Chicago's LifeSource, as was the information given when I called the number.  I live no where near chicago, and I am not under the impression they operate anywhere other than the Chicago area.  So, is everyone else getting these calls from Chicago?  Or is this another example of one organization "hijacking" the number of another.  Just curious!

If you call that 888 number back (using a different phone or caller ID blocking) you can press the option that says "if Lifesource has called you and not left a message" and you'll be connected with an operator who can remove you from their calling list.

We have been getting calls from 1-888-427-4836 several times a day for the past few days. It would not surprise me if this was lifesource as they have harrassed us unmercifully over the past four years. Very annoying.

I called to get removed from this number's call list (Life Source) and was told to visit brightenlife.org. Checked the website and could not find anywhere in which to remove my number besides emailing the company...Really annoying.

Keep getting cell calls from these people.

I go some calls over the last few weeks, come to find out someone I know was selling their plasma and wrote down my number for a contact, that's how they got my number!

If you donated blood ever to these vultures, they will call you with their talons ready.

They called 6 times in 4 hours last night.   I will NEVER donate blood to Lifesource again with these practices.

You have to call them and tell them to take your number of their calling list. It is Lifesource.

Good Luck with that. I have been trying to get myself off their list for years. I have even told them the more they keep calling me the less likely I am to give blood. The calls had stopped for a brief period. It must be time for their holiday drive.

I once mistakenly gave this my home phone number and at another blood donation, my cell number. I found out the hard way that they will hound you relentlessly and are as bad or even worse then any bill collector. So I demanded they take my home and cell number off their database. I then gave them my Skype phone number and informed them they could contact me via this number. They no longer call my home or cell phone. However, they bugged me to death with phone calls to my Skype number. Sometimes they would call 4 to 5 times in one night. However, I now have peace, I added them to my contact list and promptly blocked the number. No more problems with harrassing phone calls. I will choose when to contact them and set of a donation time.

I get 2 to 3 calls per day from this number which is life source I have told them in the past to stop calling me.

I called  888-427-4836 after posting this and pressed "0" and spoke to a woman who was the operator she advised that they would remove my number that it would take 48 hours I told they call 2 or 3 times per day she apologized and said that it is an automated system. I will let you know if I get more calls.

The number is LifeSource. I donated over 5 years ago & have just started getting calls on a daily basis. I too called the number back but the woman that answered told me to go to the website to stop the calls. I went online with her because I couldn't see where to do it on their website. She was clueless & of no help. I ended up hanging up on her & figured it out myself.  You have to create a profile & update it to opt out getting calls. Go to www.lifesource.org, then to "Create a Profile." After that, you can go in to update your profile to "Opt Out." They asked for my email when I set up the profile. Let's see how many emails I end up getting per day.

I've been getting a phone call from these guys too, it happened at first for a couple months and then they almost didn't call in november, but now I just started getting them again... And the stupid thing is I've never even heard of them, or donated blood or any of that.

It's Lifesource.  You have to opt out of their phone bank by going to lsbrighten.org get into your profile, find you phone number(s), and select the yes option for opting out.  I just did it and it took about a minute.
