We did too. They said we won a car. I highly doubt that's true.

I received a call from Ryan who left a message stating that I won a car or $25 thousand.  I called back and accepted the cash which arrived in today's mail.  I immediately took the check to my bank and they confirmed that it was legitimate.  I should know if it actually cleared in a couple of days.  This appears to be a Thanksgiving to remember.

We would like to see more information.
What business name and address appeared on the envelope that held that check?
What was the name of the business on the check?
What was the name of the bank the check was drawn on?

"I called back and accepted the cash which arrived in today's mail.  I immediately took the check to my bank ..."

Cash arrived in your mail, yet it was actually a check? A check is not cash. Legitimate businesses do not send cash by mail.

"I immediately took the check to my bank and they confirmed that it was legitimate."
Your piggy bank would not know what a legitimate check looks like.

"I should know if it actually cleared in a couple of days."
Banks can put a hold on those funds for a very long time, as counterfeit checks might not be discovered for over a week. Especially if your own bank account had less money than the check amount, as that is a very large check amount.

Shills like you won't have that much money in any bank account.

"Ryan" called me too.  Oh my! I won, I won!  Now if I only did indeed enter contests "at a mall, store, or other event".  LOL  "Ryan" you need to get a legitimate job.

Already a call first thing this morning, Ryan must get up early. Automated voice saying "you have been selected in a prize drawing........"
I did not bother listening to the rest. Its obvious its a scam to get you to give a fee to collect your phony prize.
