I sudden began receiving texts and calls from various numbers and "short codes" all within the space of 2-3 hours.  I believe they all had to do with someone marketing auto insurance under the name Savvy Insurance.  They kept addressing me as "Lisa," which is not my name.

I reported and blocked all of the numbers and spoke to Apple support about it.  They confirmed what i suspected, i.e. that if you block calls and emails from these parasites, they just generate a new phone number or email address to contact you again.  ATT has done this to me for YEARS.  I block every email address from them, and then sometimes within the same week they contact me again using a different email address.  I have had over 96 emails from them in less than a calendar year.  I demanded they remove my email address and phone number COMPLETELY from all of their computers, and they lie and say they have done it.  Then, more emails and calls come in.  It is never ending.
