More calls, two since I posted last.  Once I answered in hopes to actually talk to someone, and I got silence, and the next it rang one time and then they hung up.  They NEVER leave messages, ever.  This is so damn shady....

At what point is this harassment?  My phone records show calls from this number nearly every single work day.  The amount of time I have spend away from my desk outside my office talking to these people has probably totaled several hours now, meaning I've missed hours of work for this.  

I'm not the kind of person who burns themselves with coffee and then my eyes turn to dollar signs and I sue McDonalds, I earn my way through life and never, ever seek handouts.  Having said that, this is getting to the point where I'm about to take action, if at the very least for the ANXIETY this has been causing me every time that number comes up.  Am I being scammed?  Is there actually a serious issue?  Will my wages be garnished?  Will my identity be stolen?  Has it already been stolen?  Will my degree get withheld?  Did I do something wrong?  Should I just give them my info?  Maybe, but what if it actually is a big scam?  These scams happen every day, I have to be smart.  But what if there actually is a problem?  Will my wages be garnished?  Has my identity been stolen?  Etc, etc, etc....

THESE ARE NOT THINGS I NEED TO BE WORRIED ABOUT!!!!!!!!

NSLP I am begging you to please figure your business out, you are causing so much anxiety, frustration and not to mention work-time to be wasted for several people, not just myself.  The people posting here on this webpage are only a small few who thought to do so, how many other people are just ripping their hair out at home not knowing what to do?

Also keep getting calls from this number; sometimes 2 or 3 a week, sometimes no call for a week or two.  Used to answer the phone only to hear open ended line, papers shuffling, or background conversations or laughter; never anyone to speak with: have been on the line over 3 minutes practically yelling "HELLO ANYONE THERE"!  Finally blocked number and still call but again never leave a message.  Saved a few to cell files.  Yes I do have student loans, however if this is a legit company (yes probably auto dialer)  they need to get their act together.  And if they want to intercept income tax or garnish wage okay then cause haven't worked but 4 1/2 - 5 months in past year or so.  

I'm getting these calls too, funny thing is that I haven't had a loan in my life and my college was paid for in cash, nothing but hard currency.

I received a call this morning. They told me I could call 1 800 433 3243 (https://studentaid.ed.gov/contact) to verify if the company was legit. They informed me that they did not know this company and that they would not call even if the company was legit. NSLP were fishing for information, but when I asked them to verify who and what they were calling about, they refused. I called NSLP back and told them to put me on their do not call list, as they were fraudulent according to the US Government. I would advise contacting the 1800 number above before EVER giving out your information to someone fishing on your student loans.

NSLP is a guarantor for Federal student loans. They work with the Department of Education, so I question the knowledge of the representative that you did reach at the number above. Worked with them on numerous occasions and they've kept me out of financial crisis. Feel free to continue questioning their legitimacy, but that's your mistake. Ignoring them won't make the matter go away. Pick up the phone, if it's a wrong number, tell them. If not, verify your information and let them help you. Defaulting on federal student loans is no joke. Take the time and it will be worth it.

I've told these [***] several times over that the person they're looking for don't live here, and I've never taken out a student loan, nor have I co-signed.  With this in mind, these people could care less about legally calling...  And for the record, there's so many Americans that have defaulted on their loans for so many years that the government has looked the other way, and some of the socialist want us to forgive this debt.  Libtard America...

I've gotten a couple of calls in the last two days. I simply called them, gave them my number and they looked it up to take it off their call list. They were looking for someone who used to have my cell number, I'm guessing. Easy peasy.

This number calls my cell phone twice a day, leaves no message, and will not respond to my request to stop calling.  I've blocked their number, but my phone sends blocked calls to voicemail, so I still get voicemails with no message.  I've also reported to the Do Not Call Registry.  Very irritating!!

Student Loan Scam Again - text with telephone number to call - what idiots give them business?

They've called me 11 times this week and I'm 13 years old

For the past month this one has been calling me. Multiple times during the day. I have only answered twice, of course me being the secretive type I used a different voice. Otherwise I ignore calls like these or numbers I don't have listed on my list. I bet this number is a murderer waiting to feast on the nervous anxiety of the weak.

I feel like my IQ is going lower from reading the posts above. I'm getting calls from the same number. I'm not in college nor do I plan on it. It's most likely a scam. When dealing with your money you shouldn't give info to a unknown number. If anything you should talk to someone older and more experienced with money and dealing with loans. Best bet is that they are just messing around with your head.

I have never missed a payment on my student loans in my life, and even paid this month already. But I am getting a call from them every day or twice a day. How could my loans be at risk to default if I always pay them early?

I'm 65 and never had a student loan or never helped anyone else with one.  Nice try losers !

Our office received a call from this number... asking for a person that has not worked here in 10+ years.  Caller ID says "National Student".     I will not be answering this number again...      Wondering why their information is so out of date.  Suspicious.

I have received a phone call once a month (usually after I have made a dang loan payment) for the past year from this pain in the neck company. EVERY TIME I tell them I'm logged into my Navient account and can see that I'm up to date on my payments, they insist that I'm delinquent (today I'm 770+ days delinquent according to NSLP). Even though my payments are automatically drafted from my checking account. Today I made them contact Navient only to have the agent with Navient confirm that for the past two years I've been paying my loan every month. Navient informed me that every month they send account information to NSLP to update their records. So the problem is NSLP and I'm beyond sick of them contacting me and acting like I'm the problem.
