The caller had a robotic female Anglo voice, but -- get this -- it identified itself as "This is Chico Mendez". Chico identified "herself" as working for "Recovery Services Incorporated, a debt collection company". "She" also included the standard disclaimer "this is an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose".  The message was personalized with my name and ID code.

Two calls (to my cell) so far, an hour apart.  In another hour, I'll know if this is going to be a pattern.

"Chico", I'd happily buy you a beer, and laugh about the "voice" they assigned to you. But I can't pay the debt that my ex ran up. Yes, I owe it; no, I can't pay it. Sue me like Citibank did or GTFO.
