- LJIt's Liberty Mutual. I recently requested a homeowner's insurance quote.
- Caller: Liberty Mutual
- Call type: Event reminder
- LJ replies to Beller22I got a high quote as well. What company do you currently have?
- shadowdragonwaterThey called 4/5 times yesterday, twice no one on the other side, other times told them that we are no longer interested since we did the request 6+ months ago and to not call this number again...
Called again today and spoke with a lady. Told her that We will seek legal action if they contact us again, the moment that I said 'legal' she tried to cut me off stating that she was not the one to call and that there was nothing that we could do. I expect another call from them in about an hour...- Caller: Liberty Mutual
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Jen| 1 replyWow. I literally clicked to get an insurance quote and my phone rang in less than a minute. I won't answer. I don't like the phone, the reason I was requesting an online quote to begin with. Guess who won't be getting my business?
- HoneyLiberty Mutual using the last name listed with my number and a made up a first name saying they are calling re insurance quote requested on line. Phishing as they use that pretense to get past the no solicitation call message. If they call again I will take their time in a little game. After all, it is their dime.
- Caller: Liberty Mutual
- HannieI foolishly filled out an online quote........they were over $200 higher than my ins right now. They have called every day since & I keep calling & asking them to stop calling here.........this is my third call. Next thing will be to report them to the DNC people (lot of good that does but if they get enough complaints against this number, would like to think they'll at least notify them).
Don't fill out at online quote w/LM unless you want them to call you every day.- Caller: Liberty Mutual

Slang is one thing, but butchering the english language like that makes you look ignorant and quite frankly it's all over the internet and makes me want to throw a dictionary through the screen in the hopes that it hits who ever typed it in the face! - Eliz replies to Jim TexasThe next time these morons (or other companies) call you tell them, "Remove my phone number from your calling list and never call my phone again. If you call me again I will report you because it will be in violation of the federal law and I will personally have my attorney sue you for harassment and anything else we can come up with." Telling them that you are going to report them for repeated harassing phones after being told to not call you again and that you are going to sue them usually gets the calls to stop immediately. They know that the fed's will come after them and impose heavy fines for it. It is a federal law that companies are not allowed to call you after you have notified them that you do not want to be called again.
You wont believe how fast these guys either back track and start apologizing and promising to never call you again or they hang up before you can finish what you are saying. I have even had some of them start stuttering because they were so nervous and afraid I was actually going to report them. I wont report them to the feds or sue them because I don't feel like completing all the darn paper work but they don't know that. ;-) - Eliz replies to JoyceNext time you should answer with the following, "Thanks for calling Fort Leavenworth Federal Prison, how can I direct your call?"
Or you can do what I do...

They literally called me within 5 seconds of the quote displaying on my screen. I didn't even get a chance to read 2 sentences of the quote before my phone rang. That means they started dialing before the quote ever displayed on my screen.
