- Jen replies to Lory| 4 repliesI just received same message. I'm a little concerned.
- Mike in MD replies to JenNone of the others reporting this caller have received any kind of papers. It is just scare tactics trying to get you to call so they can bully you over the phone about an alleged debt they think you owe. The will most likely not ever provide you with the written information required by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act via US Mail and just keep calling to try and bully you. If there is nothing on your credit report, you have little to fear. If you do have a debt on your report that has gone to collections, contact the original creditor to determine who is handling collection and deal only with them after they provide proper validation of the debt in writing.
- Kat replies to JenNo need to be concerned, Jen, because this is a scam. If you had a warrant for your arrest, you wouldn't be warned in advance because that would give you time to hide. These scammers are just trying to scare you.
If they call again, demand they send you a Validation of Debt. This is sent through the USPS ONLY (faxes, emails, and phone calls aren't acceptable) and it must state when you incurred the debt, who you owe the original debt to, and how to proceed if you disagree with the VOD.
By law, the VOD must be sent within 5 days of the first time the company attempts to contact you. If they claim they cannot send this, already sent this, or you will receive the information after you pay them, you know it's a scam. - Lory replies to JenI did some investigation as far as I can see its a scam... Agree if they call again I will ask then to send a validation notice.. If they can not provide one I will contact MY attonery general to take further action ...
- TammyI received a call from Dan at home, cell and work stating that they have a body attachement legal services court summons to deliver on 3/11/16 between 3-6 pm, and at my residents to make sure animals are locked up and fire arms are too. I call the number 888-446-6582 and it is Dispute Resolutions Services, went to message machine. I checked with my local court and they have nothing in the system for me. It did freak me out.
- Not a Happy Camper| 2 repliesReceived a call from this number as well. Said it was Robert Evans, Division 1 Legal Support. Would deliver my summons between 12-7pm on 3/11 at residence or employment place. I needed 2 forms of ID and my supervisor as my witness for a signature. They also called my ex husband of 20 years's sister in law and left her a message. She isn't even married to my ex brother in law anymore and hasn't been for 10 years. I AM FURIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then says that I have been notified. I have never even met this woman before that they left a message on and she found me on Facebook and sent me a message. I will find "Mr. Evans" and place harrassment charges against him.

- JustinCase replies to Not a Happy CamperHey, try not allowing them to leave ye messages and see what happens. Ye won't have to hear from anyone ye don't care to while getting on their nerves. No kind of an answer means one less participant they can play with and Bob Evans can stick with the restaurant business and breakfast. On Facebook, block them and ye won't hear from them there, either.
- Tamianth replies to Not a Happy CamperDo a search on call blocking devices & phones. And as for FB, make sure you set your pages to private, only family & friends.
As for the threats, empty air and as far as they are concerned, you are the person they are looking for. And I do recognize this bunch.. Extortion Scam Operation 100%.. their little spiel of
They have a lot of other threads here.. About the best you will be able to do here is file complaints for extortion scam..Quote:and at my residents to make sure animals are locked up and fire arms are too.

Don't bother engaging them in conversation, its not worth the aggravation and as Justin Case mentioned, don't allow them to leave messages. Don't call them back either. And they may be ex relatives, but they should file complaints also, as should family they call, as well as follow the steps laid out here. - CWG40 replies to NicoleMost likely a debt scamming operation.
Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
1. Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2. Demand a debt validation letter by US mail. E-mail no good.
3. Do not pay the collection agent or anyone else a dime until the debt is validated
Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.
If they are bothering you, report them:
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.) The same goes for endless telephone harassment
Also contact your local attorney general
If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.
You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them. Tell 'em no scammy debt collector is going to push you around.
You have to get tuff with these people because, being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking). the only thing they understand. - CWG40 replies to JenScam. No legitimate process server calls you up in advance and tells you he or she is coming by. Ignore and block these calls.
- CWG40 replies to JavierThey're debt collectors, they do not work for any governmental agency. Ignore and block the calls.
- CWG40Possibly this group. This "Division 1" is a zombie group. They are most likely:
