Whether you are called a debtor or some collector thinks you can flush one out, you have rights and options. Many are simple to exercise if you only learn how. You are entitled to proof of claim and fair treatment. If one or the other is not provided, the collection agency should *not* win your assets. You are granted control of how you are contacted, the right to dispute debt claims, and the means to sue violators at low cost. The FTC and the CFPB can start you on your homework. See also if your state laws grant additional or stronger rights.

It was actually a real bill that I paid off with T Mobil 12 years ago. they were trying to collect thousands and managed to get it down to $112 but needed my cc number (yeah right)

- Anonymous| 1 replyPeople, please do your homework when dealing with this number! DO NOT give this man ANY money! He told me Sprint had filed a civil suit against me from 13-14 years ago. The problem is, there is a statute of limitations of 7 years without any contact from a company. After that, they can no longer touch you! I called him back again today. He also gave me a different last name along with a different phone carrier. I called Sprint after he hung up on me. They needed my social. Gave it to them and they searched and there has been nothing filed against me! Please you all, research this before you give him any money! This is an extremely fradulent man trying to scam money out of you! I called him back to let him know that I knew he was full of it and he hung up on me! I was also told to contact my local authorities! I think I will be contacting the ones in California instead! Thank you for taking the time to read this! I hope this helps!!

- shawnaSo after calling this number and explaining my rights and the law he said to have my lawyer send info to an address he gave me. Googled the address. It's a SUSHI restaurant!
- Caller: drg and associates
- Be CarefulMy mother received a very similar phone call from the exact same people! They claimed that there was a civil suit being filed against her by sprint from nearly twenty years ago. The first person she spoke with was Crystal from Pro Locators who gave her a case number and the "law firm" to contact in order to get more information on her case. My mother called the number and spoke with Michael Taylor who said that he was with a law firm and he was going to file a lawsuit the following Wednesday with "attorney" Carmichael. They gave my mother the address that she could send information to and it is, in fact, a sushi restaurant in a strip mall. Upon telling them this information the address changed...to a UPS store. Beware, please be cautious when giving personal information. This company/these people are using legal terms to scare people into sending money.
