According to Erie County court records, Stephanie Lowinger has a new business name; it's Gordon Cappolli & Associates. The address I found is 255 Great Arrow, Suite 4, Buffalo, NY 14216. The person I talked to at the NY Attorney General's office said this was a common tactic of hers -- changing her business name when the complaint volume got too high. I'm posting this in several places to make sure she doesn't get away with it.

They are not a scam, necessarily, but yes, there are some shady parts.  They are a heavy-handed collection agency that uses the illusion of a legal firm, which they are not.  They will never prove it by furnishing a license number, which all states require legal firms to do on stationary, letterhead etc as a necessary form of disclosure.  They are real, though.  They had a legit debt of mine that I had been trying to chase down with another firm that gave up on my even though  I was calling them weekly to find out what I needed to do for the debt to be cleared.  

What gets me is now is that none of their phone numbers work AT ALL.  DISCONNECTED!  Me thinks they got spanked with a lawsuit to end their days.  

But they will probably surface under some other name.  GOOD LUCK FINDING THEM.

What number are they calling you from Kim they are not suppose to be collecting anything look them up in the news and contact the ny state attorney general and they will stop calling

im so sorry u guys i worked there 4 about a month n i collected nothin because i didnt use the tactics that the others used so while they wer making hunderds i made nothing but anyway but they call it stiff and biff what they do is they give u a rediculous amount then they say oh we'll take off intrest and its still way more your bill is sitll 300 they are just trying to make more money off of you i would tell them that you or your spouse is a police officer and you recorded the call and youll let him decide what you should do or tell them that your a officer and that wht they said ti you is unlawful and your turning them in they arr scared shitless of the police so they will stop all the calls

The scum bag is now calling from 877-827-4430 and they are still up to no good. The dummy even called up my military cell phone and left a threatening message stating that I was being charged with numerous bounced checks. I do not have a checking's account nor do I have checks. After handing over the voice message to the Military Authorities and speaking with the DA, lets just say that Stephanie is going to wish she never left such threatening messages on a military phone. She can not deny such a thing because according to CID her voice is like a finger print and when they finish with her there will be no way for her to get out of this one. ha ha ha I can not wait until they arrest her and her crew. The ways things are looking, her day's of freedom are almost done.

This is one of Buffalo's WORST criminal debt collectors.

We expect that Stephanie Lowinger will end up in prison for her crimes.

She is reported to have a pill popping addiction, requiring lots of pain killers.

They are/were located at 255 Great Arrow, 4th Floor, Buffalo, NY.

She and four others are collecting on payday loans with threats of jail time if not paid.

Stephanie Lowinger is a liar and con artist, who needs a lot of money in a hurry.

Do not fall victim to her threats or attempts at extorting money.

If you are contacted regarding a payday loan by a collector, you should be suspicious.

You cannot be put in jail, do NOT give them any money.

She, just like all the other crooked collection agencies, will not get busted because these crooked collection agencies pay the authorities off.  The authorities tell the consumer's what they want to hear and nothing happens after that. I'm speaking from experience. I sent documentation to an agency that was suppose to protect consumers and I called two weeks later and was told they never got the letter (but it didn't come back to me). Also, watch out for the attorney you might make a complaint to about a crooked collection agency because that attorney will more than likely try to collect from you and the crooked collection agency. I know this is the last thing you wanted to hear, but think about it...why do you think these crooked collection agencies stay in business so long after thousands of complaints and lawsuits come their way? Too many people in authority are getting paid off, so nothing every happens...a lot of hands is in the pot. It's like the time E.F. Hutton cleaned many of their customers out and nothing happened because the all the authorities who could have did something was getting paid off.

You are not telling the truth...NRA is a bunch of crooks and nobody has to talk to those scums on the phone, and the company is a scam! Why say the tactics are a bit unlawful and then say they are not a scam! If they're tactics are unlawful then they are a scam and you are acting like somebody owe them a conversation if they call. If you was an ex worker for them you wouldn't be trying to protect them and the people you are telling the consumer's to make complaints to are going to get paid off by NRA just like all the other crooked collection agencies get paid off. Stop lying to the public.
