- L E O replies to bankerI also rec'd a $19.90 automactic draft from my us bank account, I called us bank's fraud unit and they seem to be aware of the transactions, and complaints from many people. However, the CRS I got checked the banks ledger and found the Ins. company and it's number she also connected me with the company NUF who says they are an under writer for the company US Bancorps which offers accidental ins. through US Bank. They say it was a telephone authorization, but we never even spoke with anyone from US Bank, period. He said they give me {2 } two months free ins. to examine the insurance and then charge on the third month. A bunch of crap I told them. They cancelled the insurance and issured the return of my funds Also US bank put a stop payment on them.
If we don't watch our accounts closely they may pull anything on us. Thank God for Internet Banking. I can check on my little funds as often as I choose. - Paul replies to C. Coburn| 1 replyDid you get your refund back from NUF yet?
I have the exact same thing happened to me. I am in the process of writing a letter to corp. office to get my refund.
I also talked with US bank, but the lady refused to credit the amount since it is a third party vendor....but I told her that this is thru US bank and they are somewhat liable for the scam....
I think US Bank must get some kickback....otherwise they would have stopped this already. - anonymousWikipedia says "U.S. Bancorp is a diversified financial services holding company, headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is the parent company of U.S. Bank ... U.S. Bank National Association (U.S. Bank) is a nationally chartered bank, regulated by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Department of the Treasury." You need to file a complaint with US Bank's regulator OCC, info on this page http://www.occ.treas.gov/customer.htm This is the *only* way to force any OCC-regulated bank to stop screwing over its customers. Rod Underhill on 14 Aug 2009 said "When I called fraud division at US Bank they said it was a "trusted partner" (AIG) so the bank is for sure in on it." If indeed it's with a trusted partner, you can be sure US Bancorp or/and US Bank is/are earning *something* from it, perhaps goodwill or a fee or reciprocal hostile action to their partner's customers (which may or may not be AIG today). It's a sad day indeed when a bank has to scam its own customers to make money. A word of caution: If your bank isn't listed here http://www.occ.treas.gov/foia/foia.htm then it's regulated by another agency, probably by your state and filing with OCC will do no good.
- sloopyloI was charged $24.90 on US Bank card for supplemental disability insurance after 2-month trial period with a guarantee of a $25 free gas card. Problem was I never received any paperwork. Called the company and they refunded the amount and canceled the policy I never knew I had.
- mike replies to PaulI would have liked some warning about an automatic withdraw pending like I get when I move money to various accounts. I had no warning what so ever and got dinged for $35 non refundable overdraft charge on an account that is supposed to refuse overdrafts.
- anonI too was charged $24.90 on a US Bank account for an insurance policy I received no paperwork for and no gas card. I called the number, 888-449-4544, of the originator for the charge and cancelled the policy. They said no further charges would be made and they could refund the latest charge. I also called US Bank's Dept. of Claims and Fraud, 877-595-6256, and they said they would get the rest of the charges back.

- Thomas BlackburnI have had charges from Nuf ins for six months. When I called the bank, they said it must have been a phone order. I did not order any insurance, and received no paper work. The bank says they know nothing of this transaction. How do I get this off my account?
- Mae| 1 replySpoke to Candice w/NUF this is a life policy thru Wells Fargo. She is having my account credited two charges of $9.95. This should be done w/in 15 working days. Will keep track & call back if not done by 11/22/10
- Dick| 1 replyMy US Bank account was tapped for $24.90 - an unauthorized charge by" NUF IPP INS 800" . Glad to find the info posted here which will arm me with precedent when I call all parties involved on Monday. This is an inactive account with took the balance down to 0.02 so they wiped me out. Hope to get the phoney policy cancelled and the amount refunded. Thanks to all who've posted.
This is begging for a class action suit which would be a more substantive suit than most.

- Dick replies to DickFollow up - I may have the last laugh - by coincidence i did have an accident and was unable to work this past Jan thru May so if this fraudulent policy was in effect at that time I'll make a claim for disability payments and then cancel. Of course i don't expect it to be easy to actually collect and I have no idea how long the "trail" period had been running - I got my first billing on my November statement.
- TBJI got charged 19.95 today for an unauthorized NUF DIS INS. I do not know who is responsible, but I intend to find out. This must stop.
- EDD replies to MaeSame thing happend to me, I think banks like wells fargo and others are sharing our information with other companies, wells fargo are always trying to offer me services, insurance, etc. They are the ones creating this problem with all their sharing, call them and tell them to stop sharing your info, by law they can't share all your financial information, unfortunately, they can share some, so I don't see this kind of problems ending any time soon.
- Nora L butler replies to bankerThey took $22.00 out of our account .at US Bank
- DebAfter reading the posts here, I realized what the charge from Nuf Hp Insr888 was. Nuf Hp Insr888 charged an account we use as a savings account $29.95. I had already called my bank (US Bank), as I monitor it almost daily and complained about the withdrawal. I then found this web site and now had a phone number. I called 888-449-4544, preceded to tell the woman what I thought about the treatment I received, and asked for a supervisor. I told the supervisor I could not cancel this charge in the time period because they never sent the policy. I told him I found their phone number via the complaints about the company that are posted on the internet. He agreed to refund the charge and gave me a cancelation code. I then called my US Bank branch and told them that I have a cancelation code which they noted. They also changed the information sharing status to the highest so the no information about our accounts will be shared with their partners.

- VinceI received a several calls from this Insurance company via US. Bank (blah blah), they said it is good program and they allow me to have 60 days to review the policy. Tired of their calling, I told them that you need to send me the policy, I will review and call back if the policy is good for me. I received the policy but they are not that good, so I didnt call them back. However, they still charge me $29.95. I called them back and they canceled my policy. I don't know how long they will reverse the money.

- durr..I was getting charged by "Phone Authorized Pmt Nuf Ipp Ins 800" on my USbank checking account. I called the bank and was forwarded to 888-449-4544. The woman who sent me to that number said she has seen this many times before. It's some insurance apparently i had signed up for a trial (I firmly remember saying NO when they were harassing me to sign up and never received any paper work... but I guess that was not enough.)
Long story short after next woman I talked to at the number I was forwarded to tried to sell me on staying with the insurance I never realized I had she canceled it an refunded the last payment. Unfortunately it took me a couple months to realize what was happening so I lost some money on this, but that was my fault for not keeping a strict eye on my statements.- Caller: Phone Authorized Pmt Nuf Ipp Ins 800
- Hubert FarnsworthBeen credited $24.90 for the past few months for this NUF*IPP insurance policy. I accepted the trial offer back from who knows when and just called this number to cancel it. The cancellation process was painless enough, although the representative was a bit antagonizing. Nothing much to be said here.

- patience| 1 replySo, I'm not alone! What bothers me is that if you just look at the 100 or so people posted here and multiply that out to those of you who took months to actually read your statements, It must be thousands of us, if not more. How many millions of dollars are US bank and Wells fargo going to steal before we get together and start a class action suit? And looking at some of these blogs, how long have they been stealing yours and my money? I am one of the lucky ones to be fairly poor and do pay attention to my acct. So I actually caught it the first time and filed a fraud claim. For them to repay a 33 $ charge to the few of us who [***] is nada kids. lets get a web site and get together! Reach me at skatdachef@hotmail.com and lets get some short hairs trimmed.

- C.| 1 replyThanks to these posts I discovered what the charges from NUF AP INSR were from on my Wells Fargo checking account. I have been charged $29.95 for the past 6 months. Maybe it's my fault for not checking my statements more carefully, but I'm glad I realized what was going on when I did. I called 888-449-4544 and asked them what I was being charged for and she said it was for some accidental insurance policy. I told her that I did not sign any policy and wanted it canceled. She told me it was going to be canceled immediately but was only able to refund the last charge that was made and gave me a cancellation code.
I do remember getting several calls about this policy and being offered a $25 gas card for trying it "free" for a certain amount of months, but I never received any papers or, of course the gas card. They told me to write a letter to file a claim for a full refund and gave me an address, but something tells me I won't be getting that money back. This is definitely a scam, if not, why would they refund the money so easily? I'm pretty furious about the whole situation and will be filing complaints. I also believe the banks are in on it since it was a "Wells Fargo insurance policy". The complaints on this site are evidence that we are all being charged unknowingly for this BS policy.
