- TimBeen getting multiple calls from this number. Answered once just to have some fun with them. The caller with a strong middle eastern accent identified himself as calling from "IOLO System Mechanic". When I asked his name, he said it was "Travis McUllam". I told his that he didn't sound like a Travis. His name clearly wasn't Travis and he obviously wasn't calling from IOLO. He wanted to take control of my computer to fix some pending issues. After letting him think I was cooperating for a short period of time, I informed him that I knew this was clearly a scam and threatened to report him to the FTC (which I did after the call), but it didn't seem to phase him. I also reminded him that he was breaking the law by calling my number which is on the Do-Not-Call list, but this also didn't seem to bother him. Unfortunately, these people know they are pretty much untouchable, so all you can do is arrange to block the number, which is also spoofed by the way. When in doubt, just don't answer the call if you don't recognize the caller. Whatever you do, don't ever grant these idiots control of your computer. They are not who they say they are and they have nothing but bad intentions.
- swfiend| 1 replyIt's a tech support scam. They pretend to be AVG or Dell or some other computer company, then they connect remotely to your computer and show you that there are hackers trying to connect or some other bogus thing.
Then they tell you that you need to send them a check. They scammed a very dear elderly friend out of $799 for a lifetime support package.
If you have call blocking software, it is likely their 800 numbers are blocked so they may use this number instead.

- Lauren| 1 replyI contacted my service provider (AT&T) and requested their assistance in BLOCKING this phone number (1-888-451-1603) permanently. I had the number blocked and have NOT received anymore phone calls from them since we had them BLOCKED. If you continue to receive phone calls from 888-451-1603, have the number BLOCKED permanently. There is a way to get the monkey off your back or to get the thorn out of your thigh. Also, when you call the number 888-451-1603 a recording states that the number is not set up for receiving incoming calls. This is the reason WHY we had their phone number blocked. Simple solution to an otherwise frustrating situation.

The numbers are spoofed in most cases, some won't bl9ck spoofed numbers.

- MNSCAM!! Will not stop calling my mothers phone, being a sweet woman she just kept letting them call and declining, I blocked the number on the iPhone but it keeps coming through. Finally I answered it, told the lady we knew it was a scam and the lady said "whatchuuuu mean whatchuuuu mean?!" I told her I knew she was scamming my mom (thanks to this website!) and when I told them to stop calling she said she would give my moms number to every call site possible and "make her life a living hell" I told her that was a threat and she hung up BUT She keeps calling and after reading all of this I'm tempted to just tell my mom to switch numbers.
- MILK AND DONUTS| 1 replyI received a call from 888-451-1603 and i hung up twice on them and they called a third time and when i asked who it was 3 times, they didn't answer and i yelled at them to stop calling our house. This lady had a foreign accent and told me that she would call until i talked to her and hung up on me the 4th time. I hope this website

- B-Edwards replies to MILK AND DONUTSLooks like time to block that number. One of the unintended consequences of yelling at scammers is that they are usually not wrapped that tight if you know what I mean. Some WILL call back just to be jerks. Who's got time for that? Not me.
- VilmaToday they called 5 times. Unfortunately my husband thought it was a real call from Dell. They keep insisting to purchase a service. They insulted me and call me dirty names because I refuse to purchase anything.

- GeneThis number has called multiple times over the past several days but we never answered (caller ID says name is "UNAVAILABLE"), nor did they leave a message. Another call came in tonight at dinner time. The phone was two feet away so I picked it up. Same story as many of the others so I recognized that it was a scam immediately, and after two minutes I hung up on "Marcus." that number called back two minutes later and I let it go to voice mail. All I heard before I cut the voice mail message off was background noise, possibly children.s voices, no message. I'm going to put the number on my "blocked call" list (a VERIZON FIOS Digital Phone feature), and see if that helps. It's amazing how the amount of daily crank calls has reduced after I started using that feature, and I can put up to 100 numbers on that list..

- downiannI received four calls from this number today alone on my work cell. I have only had this work cell since the summer and have to answer occasionally to let people know that they no longer have the correct number. The gentleman on the other end of the line told me he was calling from comcast.net and asked if I had let any friends or family use my computer recently. I asked him who he was trying to reach and he responded that the name on the account was Ronald, which is in fact the name of the man who had this number before. I told him he had an outdated number and the conversation proceeded as follows:
me: This is no longer Ron's number. This is a work cell, so please do not call again.
him: what is your name?
me: not Ron
him: Well what is your name?
me: my name doesn't matter because you were trying to reach Ron
him: well just answer me this one question..... are you wearing brown panties?
I hung up immediately. What is wrong with people?- Caller: Fake Comcast

- Donald JonesReceived a very aggressive and beligerent call from 'Dell Computer Tech" asking for the computer service tag number and my drivers were sending out error calls. He was very aggressive and even volunteered to sue me if I didn't give him that information so he could fix the drivers.
- Caller: said they were Dell, but it is not a Dell number

- MashoneCalled me saying they were from my home security network and received alerts that I've had some issues with my network settings. They wanted me to get my computer so that they can help fix the problem. When I started asking questions she got aggressive. She Had an Eastern Accent. I knew it didn't feel right so I hung up. Called me back to back 3 times
- Jennifer replies to MarioJust received a call from them today. The webpage they had me go to would not come up. The very pushy woman then transferred me to her "supervisor". When I was typing in www.suportme.com as he requested, below it was listed www.supportme.com scam. This alerted me to realize this was a scam and took me to this site! I am so thankful as they are very convincing and very pushy and try to move you very fast to follow their directions. After I hung up, they called me 6 times in a row. I did not answer and then I blocked their number!!! Scary.....
