Screened call last night as I didn't recognize the #, and they left no message.  They called again this morning just after 9am, no message.

Got a call from these yahoos at 9AM today.  Luckily, my phone has the "Block Calls" feature and this # was on my list. Obviously they called before.  The phone lets in barely a half a ring and then automatically disconnects. I highly recommend getting a phone with this feature, mine is a Panasonic.  Unfortunately, my blocked list keeps growing, but I am not bothered so much with these annoying calls at all hours of the day as before and it still works better than the so called "Do Not Call List".

I talked to someone from this number.  He said he was from Card Services and was going to lower my interest rates.  He wanted the numbers off my credit card.  While he was on the phone looked it up.  Found it was a scam!!!  He would not give me any information, told him the fcc wanted to know.

Multiple times a day....no message....

Called just now, left no message.  Has called numerous times in the past with same results.  Caller ID always displays digits of telephone number along with "Unknown" as the caller. I subscribe to the Verizon service of blocking unidentified numbers which works just as well as the Do Not Call registry.

Modern technology has given telescammers the tools to call you.
Since those telescammers are criminals, they ignore both the Do Not Call list and any request you might make.
Modern technology can also protect you, if YOU do a few simple things!
The first thing to do is buy a call blocker device, service or app.
Then, use it correctly.

If you cannot afford or use such a tool, then:
* Do not answer calls from unknown numbers ... let them go to voicemail or answering service
* Do NOT return calls from unknown numbers!  All that does is verify your phone number!  And, in some cases, those return calls may cost $20 or more to complete.
* If you have a "dumb" cell phone, assign the scammer's number to a group named "scammers" (or similar).  Then, assign a silent ringtone to that group.
