Subject: Transit-Employees F.C.U.
Urgent Message.
Your Debit-Card has been BLOCKED.
To reactivate CALL 8884851157
NOW.
I called the number, and it asks to leave a message - FRAUD BUSTEREMAIL FROM: YSJCOR@TRANSITEFCU.ORG
same message as above. first call wouldnt go through the second email was the same and it went to an automatit message requesting I enter the 16 bdigit card number. Of course i MADE UP THREE DIFFERENT NUMBERS AND NONE OF THOSE WORKED TO GET ME THROUGH TO TALK TO SOMEONE.
SOUNDS LIKE FRAUD TO ME - JEI received a similar text phone message. This is a complete scam. Most importantly, do NOT return the phone call on your cell phone. That will tell the scammers that the number is a good number and they will continue to send more spam to that number.
- BHI received the same text this morning.. Debit-Card has been BLOCKED. To reactivate CAL 8884851157 NOW.
Deleted it immediately. - CdavisIf you call that number it is now routing you to me...I have had over 2000 calls come in today....we have reported it and there are many organizations investigating this..its killing us to have our phone ring so much...we have just now baned DC, NY, MD, area codes..I hope this gets fixed soon.
- Kristen in DCexact same thing as the above posts. have no idea who these "transit" people are, but they have spammed my text message inbox using SEVERAL different numbers, though they all share the common "transit" name somewhere. I have a 202 (DC) area code, and knew that this was phishing for my debit card info. interesting to hear reports from those who actually dialed the number out of curiosity; this is DEFINITELY A SCAM.

- MicaI had this problem, it is because Sprint is apparently the only mobile phone provider that doesn't filter fraudulent phishing text messages. We have every single employee on a sprint phone in our company getting these several a day and Sprint doesn't care. We don't get any of them on our ATT and Verizon lines.
This is a KNOWN SCAM according to the authorities. It is not spam as sprint termed it, it is phishing. Spam arre unsolicited advertsisments for actual prodcuts or services (even if of little to no value). Phising is an attempt to steal money from accoutns. that is Transit Credit thing is . - KattanaI have just recived two of these messages and the person who responded before me must be right, because I have a sprint phone. I never recieved a person on the phone but when I do they will wish they never tried to mess with me. Plus none of my credit card numbers even match with what they tried to send me. IDIOTS!!!!

- HCRThese messages started about a week ago. I get maybe one text message a day. Does anyone no how to report these text? because it is costing me. I wonder how they got my phone number. I live in the DC area and I own a sprint phone. I will check Sprint's website.
Also, I googled FCU transit employees website and found a removed page. That's about it.- Caller: Transit- Employees F.C.U
- RobI have a Sprint phone too in Washington DC and get two of these text EVERY day for weeks. Sprint refuses to do anything about an apparent security hole allowing scammers not to just send a few texts but tens of thousands.
My wife gets none of these on her Verizon phone!
Called Sprint and they don't care. Won't even report it or do anything about it in their own system!
These are not spams, but phishing attempts, i.e. a direct fraud, and Sprint doesn't care.
