beware these folks are phishing for your personal information

Woman with accent called, stating her name was, Jasmine, and that she was part of CIS, associated with a well known house insurance, and that she was giving me a courtesy call letting me know that someone would be by within 2-3 weeks, knocking on my door to check the exterior of my home...found this odd because, no one in all the years that I have had that insurance has done this, plus the call came in at 5:00 PM  on a Friday before the Labor Day holiday, when my insurance office was closed for the holidays, and I was unable to reach my local agent...called the national insurance number and they said they had no record of anyone scheduled to do this in their records...left message with my insurance agent for return call...believe this to be a scam for information or to find out the residence for possible break ins.

Woman called (with an accent) saying she was calling from State Farm and asked for me by name.  Then the line was silent and for 35 minutes the call was held open and my phone line was dead.

Woman called saying she was calling from CIS working with State Farm and that she was giving me a courtesy call letting me know that someone would be by within my house in the next week or two,  to check the exterior of my home at such and such address. Total scammer, did not call them back. I sold the house at that address months ago and State Farm does not have the insurance on it.

Received a call today, same story as above.

Caller left message and claimed to be Carla with CIS Group wanting to take pictures of my home with a camera on a pole.  Ummm no.

Did get the same call and checked with my State Farm agent.  It is totally legit, CIS is the vendor State Farm uses to take pictures of homes they insure.
