Have no idea who called me from this number, but when you call it back, no one answers.

They called saying they were the IRS and they were filing a lawsuit against me and they were coming to arrest me lol SCAM

This number called saying they were the IRS but they couldn't tell me who they were calling for. They wanted me to call back and give them my name.

Do not respond to this call. It is a SCAM, the IRS will NEVER call you.

Agreed...  got an identical call.  Definitely a scam.  Do not reply/call back/give any information.

Called said they were from the IRS and that I was being sued by them and being audited.told them we never received any notice in the mail her couldn't explain why that was so.  Gave me a case number and arrest warrant number was able to recite my current address (creepy good thing we're moving tomorrow) etc and the amount I am to pay back. Then proceeded to tell me I could go to a cvs rite aid etc to get a prepaid card to make an offline payment. I looked up the number and told him it's not showing that he works with the IRS and that his number is showing that he's a scammer all he could say was ok. So I hung up. Smh such a sad world we live in with these crooks. The IRS doesn't call to audit you you'll always get a letter in the mail. We'll see if it really get "arrested" 😒

Wow, 3rd recorded message from the supposed IRS today. All three came from different numbers, 2 had similar voices and said the exact same thing. The 3rd was a male voice saying someone would arrive shortly at my home to pick up a certified check or cash. The call from +1 (888) 498-1592 that I'm researching now was the 3rd call that I had received. This is becoming hilariously funny. Unfortunately, people must be falling for this non-sense because these guys are growing this business significantly.

Totally a scam they always call right around 5pm so you cant call irs and threaten to send police to your door. Ive already received my tax return [***] i owe the irs nothing!!! Agent chris martin and the call sounds like hes on a payphone

Got this phone call from an autodialer telling me it was the IRS and I was being sued.  Gave me the 888 number and said to call before I am served. Called the number they gave me and it rang once and then a tone.

Me too! I got an auto call saying that the IRS was suing me!!! I knew it was def NOT a gov agency! They mail notices! Plus why would they sue me??? Because I didn't cash my refunds promptly enough??? Total BS

Just received a call from this same number.  Recording said I was being sued by the IRS.  Please return this call.         They called twice today.  The recording was muffled.

Got a call from 888-498-1583   Said they are the IRS and there is a lawsuit againist me    Said to call 888-848-1576 (automated--hard to catch)  Called second number, man answered.  Told me I had a wrong number

Called this number back, the lady said I was being investigated, at that point I giggled and she hung up on me
