- Versace| 1 replyDid they say it was about a civil case? I got a call and said that I needed to go to court.
- Unidentified replies to VersaceYou know they send you something in the mail when you have to go to Court, not call you. Only the scammers call and try to scare you into giving them money to avoid going to Court, but there really isn't any Court.
- glsCall early a.m. 4/15/2021 from 'Keith Reed', Heckman Legal Svcs.(?) re: past due bill from 19 years ago from 'Chase Visa Card'. Referred to First US Bank Visa, then 'Unifund, then Four Score Resource Capital, then Pinnacle Credit Services. All the phone numbers were either fake, or 'out of service'. The caller 'Keith Reed' said I would be served a summons within "48 hours". The amount 'due' was $6500.00, then $15,000, then magically $22,000.00+. The caller had my name, address, last four of my SSN. Sounds fake and phony to me. Do NOT give any info over the phone to these individuals. They 'sound' professional, when in fact they are professional scam artists.

- CHAD HECKMAN| 6 repliesThis is a scam. "heckman legal services" is not a real company. I am a partner with heckman law group in tallahassee florida (heckmanlawgroup.Com). This company is impersonating my law firm an attempting to scare and threaten people into paying phantom debts. Do not give these people any information. If you call them back, tell them their scam in all over the internet so they should pick a new name to try to scam people. I called them today to tell them to stop this activity and they hung up, predictably.

- BigA replies to CHAD HECKMAN| 5 repliesWow, our hearts really bleed for you there "Chad". Well, not really because after all why would we care about a debt collecting attorney? Especially one that makes illegal phone calls to people. You really think that we believe that your company is being "impersonated"? You are making the calls their "Chad". No doubt about that.
- Good Citizen| 4 repliesPosting this here to give everyone a heads up. I got a call from an Unknown Caller. I live in Oregon. A person identified as Christopher left a voicemail that said the following: "This is an important message it's Christopher process service dispatch department this call is certified the residence at two attempts will be made to issue a certified legal documents for a [Name 1] and [Name 2] at the property address [my address] if you have any questions or need to make any changes to the time and location of this delivery need to contact the legal firm [unidentifiable] in the case at 866-506-0837 and reference case number [2021- followed by six numbers]. Failure to contact the legal firm will result in further legal proceedings to take place without your knowledge".
When I called they did not identify themselves and had a roundabout way of explaining I was being sued for something from 11 years ago which made no sense. They knew our names, address, and date of birth, social security numbers, and new that we were once a member of Bank of America. I was hung up on once I asked too many questions (he said "don't want to waste any of you're time and you are agreeing to fail to pay and full legal action will be figured out in court. Goodbye." or something like that). I called back, a new person answered, then I was directed to the same person, and I was able to get them to send me a letter.
The letterhead was "Heckman Legal Services" which upon further investigation has no basis on the internet. The address they include is 1801 Century Park East, Los Angeles, California 90067. Contact: (323) 238-4509. None of this information checks out as real online.
The letter stated: "Dear [Name], Please be advised that this firm represents the current lender/creditor of your account to whom you are indebted in the amount of [amount]. Currently, the balance in full is overdue and payable; thus far you’ve given us no other option but to assume you’ve refused payment. Today, our firm is willing to stipulate to stop any action provided that you pay [lower amount] by 5/12/2021 [the date for today]. To accept this offer and execute this agreement you must contact our office and secure your payments via debit/credit card or check. Upon successful clearance of the settlement amount due, our client will notify the proper credit agencies that the debt is paid as agreed, thus releasing any claim, interest, or liability. Conversely, if the full amount is not paid timely, our client may have a cause of action to pursue further damages and any applicable cost in collection of the debt. If you have any questions concerning the outstanding obligation or you’d like to remedy the account, please feel free to contact us during normal business hours."
These scam artists have a system that seems professional, speak good English, and use lots of legal Jargon. Don't fall for this elaborate scam!- Caller: Heckman Legal Services

- Good Citizen replies to Good Citizen| 3 repliesJust to add, the letter was signed off by "Samuel Weinberg, Litigation Manager". The following text was at the bottom of the letter: "This communication is from a debt collector and any information obtained will be used for that purpose. The content of this email is confidential and intended for the recipient specified in message only. It is strictly forbidden to share any part of this message with any third party, without a written consent of the sender. If you received this message by mistake, please reply to this message and follow with its deletion, so that we can ensure such a mistake does not occur in the future."
- BigA replies to Good CitizenThe address is a virtual office. They could be anywhere. I've heard that name Samuel Weinberg before.
- Good Citizen replies to Good Citizen| 1 replyThe letter was sent to my email via mail@digisigner.com and included a link in the body of the email that directed to the PDF. The text above the link read "clientservices@prolegalfiling.com sent you a document to sign".
- BigA replies to Good Citizenprolegalfiling.com was set up 1/11/21 and is set to expire next year. It is a parked GoDaddy website and they used the privacy service to conceal who they are and where they are located. I have to wonder why you did not include all of this extra information in your original post?

- BigA replies to CHAD HECKMAN| 3 repliesSeems awfully convenient since you are a debt collection attorney as well. I'll have to check into this some more. It certainly would not be the first time a debt collector has come here trying to do damage control by pointing the finger in a different direction.

- Kat* replies to CHAD HECKMAN| 1 replyWow, are you clueless! How is it obvious BigA is "one of the people involved in this scam"? It certainly doesn't read that way to those of us with any intelligence whatsoever.

- AnonymousI received the same call from a Linda Rodriguez yesterday and when i asked her what scan is she trying to pull she told me that "I needed to relax", i hung up on her. - Good Citizen| 2 repliesFor those wondering about Chad Heckman's comment above, it checks out that they are from Heckman Law Group which is an actual company. Heckman *Legal Services* is the scam company. Chad has even gone to the extent of buying the Heckman Legal Services domain name to make others aware about the scam: https://heckmanlegalservices.com/ .

- MikeHuntleton replies to Good Citizen| 1 replyWell, thanks for the update "Chad", but you don't need to keep spamming the thread with continuous reassuring posts of your "innocence". If you are not the one making the scam calls and "Heckman Legal Services" is not your company, why worry about it? You are not the only Heckman, so why should this be such a concern when you can simply advise anyone who calls that it was a scammer and to ignore those calls?
- BigA replies to MikeHuntleton"Chad" is a debt collector. He is upset that he can't scam these people because this other outfit got to them first. Looks like this "Good Citizen" is now spamming this thread as well. I'm thinking that this is a preemptive damage control thread.
- Good CitizenNope, just trying to help. Seems like you guys know more about him than I do though. I'm not a member of this site and it seems there are quite a few comments here that I can't see. They just say "post pending moderator approval". If you are sure he is also a scam, I'll take your word for it. I've done my duty here by reporting my side of the scam. Signing off and thank you fellow citizens for helping make others aware of these scammers.
