888-498-3323

Received two phone calls and voice mail messages from this number today, one at 2:45PM EST and the second at 4:13PM EST, both showing up in the caller ID as "800 Service." In both cases, a computerized male voice was recorded saying the second half of a message that included, "... $299.99. Take down this number once now: 888-498-3323. Thank you." And then it hung up. Not sure what this is about, but it definitely sounds like a scam of some kind.

Received a message: "Security department, to inform you that we are not longer in business, please call us at 888-498-3323 to get your refund of $299.99 thank you"
YEA Right! Scammers

Called both my landline and cell. Left message on cell phone about a refund for $299.99 and said take down the number once. Message on landline was a bit different. Woman's voice telling me something about my credit card and microsoft products and pressing 9 for a refund.

Just received the same call the msg starts out they're an anti virus company going outta business and returning your money of $299.99 I didn't call back lol sounds like a scam to me

Same thing. Received a voicemail on my cell today with the exact same verbage. Frustrating 😡

Recorded male voice stating he was calling from "your antivirus security department". Scam, scam, scam. I hung up and marked it as such.

I received the same. I am on "Do Not Call Registry." I don't want these calls and think unsolicited calls, especially on cell phones, should be outlawed.

caller id same as number. refund scam They are trying to get your credit card number. Wouldn't it be easier to buy them on the dark web??!!? They called using another number recently.

Obvious fraud call because I did NOT pay for any security software - and certainly did not procure any from an almost bankrupt company.

Pretty much the same as prior comments.  They called today telling me I could call and get "my $299.99 refunded, and urged me to call to get it.  A very obvious scam

They want you to connect to anydesk.Com or subremo.Com and then download a program which allows them to access your computer remotely!

TO ALL - NEVER allow remote access to a cold caller.  There is NO WAY  they can tell you there is a problem.

They're criminals.  The good guys look at the DNC list but,it's irrelevant to bad guys.  Criminals are outlaws.  These calls ARE outlawed.  They don't care, they know they most likely won't get caught.  I call them the Mumbai Mafia.

I didn't answer, the CID was obviously a scam call.  Their robomessage started running immediately when my outgoing recorded message started to play, it didn't wait for the record feature.  Primitive program.  But I could discern the same message as yours running while mine was playing, it was the same, sad one you all got.,, how they'd like to refund our $299.99 if we'll only give them our bank account or credit card number.  If you believe that, then I have some swampland in Florida I'd like to sell you.  And I'm selling the Brooklyn bridge cheap, too!    ;)

It is a scam. They are based in India somewhere and all they want is your credit card info for the "refund" so they can clean you out.

Just got a call from the same number the first part of the message says that your antivirus company is no longer in business and you should call the number for your refund of $299.99
