The number appear on my computer screen after logging into my yahoo mail account. I researched on found that was a scammer trying to get access to my computer. Beware that scammer calling them self windows technical support 888-4984480. Do not call that number or give access to your computer.

do not fall for the red page and warning about your computer has been comt.  do not call them and give the access to your computer.  they are scammers trying to take over your computer...

I have had this happen 3 times, myself.  At first it is unsettling, then I realized it is a scam -- this also happened when I logged in my yahoo.com account.

Yahoo better do something about your Ad Content Security. It is not the first time is happens, the last time this scam came up with a different number 888-304-5649.  I opened an Yahoo mail tab and was doing other things on other tabs and noticed the Yahoo Mail tab would that turn into the scam page.  It was the situation last time.  Both time I wasn't even reading any mail.  Quite clearly some of the Ads on the right hand side are tampered!

Which is why you should be using an ad blocker and then that would not happen.

Have you reported this issue to Yahoo?

Unfortunately my father got this same message on his computer.  He gave him access to his pc.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION.  I called the number back to talk to someone about this scam and I got hung up on.  I hate when scammers take advantage of people.
