I was on my computer when this popped up telling me I had a virus and to call the number.  Any one heard of this before???????

There is nothing wrong with your computer. Check your security setting on your computer for popup ads. Make sure your antivirus software is up to date, and run it. DO NOT call that number. No one should fix problems on your computer except you & the local computer repair store. Good chance they will ask you to turn over control of your computer to them. We all know how that'll end.

J'ai également eu un pop-up m'avisant que mon ordinateur avait un virus et d'appeler ce numéro.  Je suis incapable d'enlever ce pop-up même en faisant OK ou en voulant le fermer, alors j'ai appelé, ils m'ont demandé le numéro ou me rejoindre, j'ai donné mon cellulaire et la communication a semblé se fermer.  J'ai vérifié sur internet et après vos commentaires j'ai reçu un appel d'eux et je leur ai dit de tout annuler

I got this too.  Can't figure out how to get rid of it.

If you're running Windows, you should have a System Restore function.  You can run that, setting back to a point maybe a week before your first noticed the pop-up.

Same thing happened to me. I did a system restore, and it worked for a couple of hours, but then the message popped up again, this time with a different phone # (888-840-3165). Not sure what to do now.

I got this as well and my computer froze.  My grandson did 'control' alt 'delete and fixed it.  Don't call the number-it's a scam.

This is a scam. I have a virus protector program and used it and guess what -- no virus detected. Just press Ctrl-Alt-Del to go out of window.

I got a similar message when I clicked on a link to another website.  I couldn't exit the site or access any other site I had open.  I did call the number out of curiosity but only got music.  I hung up after a few seconds, thinking it might be one of those numbers where the charges are exorbitant.  Did a CTL-ALT-DEL and ended the task at Task Manager and so far, have had no further trouble.
