- Caller: law office of W. Thomas Ingle (Engle?)
- Wes replies to Kathy| 7 repliesThey Engle keeps calling me too through their automated service. I don't even live in TX. According to the information I can find out, they aren't even certified to practice in my state. I called them back a couple weeks ago and informed them that they needed to contact my attorney from the previous issue which they were calling about. I have since received 7 calls in a two weeks and they are increasing in frequency. I contacted them one last time and was told that I would have to have my lawyer contact them to get them, implying that they wouldn't stop until I did. I am now filing a grievance with the State Bar, but who knows if it will actually do anything about this harassment. I suggest you do the same. Maybe after receiving enough valid grievances they will do something about this leech.
- biscitinva replies to Wesyou have to get their address and send them a letter or you can tell them that you are recording the phone call..let them respond...and THEN you can tell them not to call you again...that way you can get them for harassment...by the way..you will need to send the letter certified with a return receipt in order to prove that the letter was sent and received

- Wendy replies to robert hodges`| 2 repliesThe reason that you are getting the message is because legally they are not able to leave a name to who the message is for. Also they can not leave any detail unless they are talking to the person with the account. They do have caller ID, so when you call them back they record the number you are calling from.
I rec'd a call from them...called them back. W. Thomas Engle Law offices. Spoke to a women there who told me they were calling in regards to a 7 year old debt to netelos That I owned them 256.80 and if I paid 170 of it that would be it. Then told me they reported it to the credit report Bureaus . Again Legally they can not say this unless they did...so I checked and they did. Legally they are not able to place negative marks on your credit report if it is over 7 yrs old.
I told the lady I wanted proof of the debt and she gave me the number to netlos to call with an acct number. I spoke to a nice girl who looked up my acct and said she had to look it up in the archives. I have disputed the negative mark on my credit report. I will also be reporting this to my State Attorney . general. Not sure if that will help but I am. Esp about reporting to the credit Bureaus.....when it is a clear volitional. I suggest you call them back (from a pay phone) to see what or who they are calling for. Also check your credit report and def get PROOF!!! - Wendy replies to Elvis in VA| 2 repliesThe reason that you are getting the message is because legally they are not able to leave a name to who the message is for. - JH| 1 replyReceiving repeated calls from this number stating that I "may be" involved in a court case or debt collection. However, they will not tell me who they are trying to reach or why they are calling unless I tell them my social security number. NO WAY.
How can I get them to stop calling when I have NO intention of giving anyone other than my employer my SSN? Seems I can't even find out who they are trying to call!- Caller: WT Engle Law PLLC

- bt| 1 replyI have received a call almost everyday since July 12, 2010 with a message that "there may be a case involving you" and "to call 888-507-5070". I have no debts nor any credit problems, which makes me think that they are unable to find a particular person with the same last name as mine and trying anyone and everyone in the phone book hoping to luck out. I have no plans to call back. What a scam.
- Caller: Thomas Engel Law Offices
- SamanthaI have received 3 calls from the same W. Thomas Engle Law. I get an automated message requesting me to call them back at 817-865-2020. No reason as to why or what it may pertain to. My credit is excellent and I have no credit cards. My cell phone is pre-paid therefore has no attachment to my name. I believe this is a scam and have no intentions on calling them back. If this is legit, I have a home number. They can look it up and have a real person call me.

- Family HarrassedThese people have called my mother numerous amounts of time leaving her very upset. They called me asking for my brother who's been deceased for 5 years. Someone needs to put a stop to these people's craziness. I called back and spoke to a male who was very rude when I asked if they were going through the phone book calling people with my same last name.

- Bank Fraud Victim replies to Ed Johnson`| 3 repliesI thought I had settled a debt in Virginia also. It ended up costing me a couple of thousand dollars before it was all said and done.
DO NOT DEAL with these people. They have stolen from me and they will steal from you too!
If they say you owe a debt, I recommend you go directly to the original creditor and stay away from these thieves.
