THEY CALLED ME,MY WIFE THREATING ME.THEY WERE GOING TO SEND A WARRENT FOR MY ARREST IF I DID NOT SEND A PAYMENT TODAY.THEY EVEN CALLED MY PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT.

It's a scare tactic. You CANNOT be arrested for debt.
Go to ftc.gov and read the FDCPA and learn your rights.

The machine says it's a debt collector, and leaves a number so fast you couldn't possibly remember it, or write it down unprepared.  It's called every day for a week.  I answer every time, but it tells me to call it BACK at this number.  Sick of it, today I was able to remember enough of the number and "debt collection" typed into Google gave me the whole number.

I called the number, and was told by ANOTHER machine  I "won" a $100 gift card from WalMart.  Riiiiiiight.  I hit 1 to get a real person, who instantly asked me for my first and last name.  I said what's YOUR first and last name.  I baffled him.  Then I told him whatever debt they're trying to collect is NOT ours.  Dead silence.  I said we've only had this phone number for a short while, so they're looking for the person who once had it.  Dead silence.  So I said could I speak to a manager?  He stammered and said yes, hang on.  and he hung up.

And yes, don't EVER let a debt collector threaten you with the police or warrants.  Debtor's Prison was done away with long ago in America.  THey can go after you, but not via law enforcement, ever.
