- Jack| 1 replyMost likely a criminal enterprise specializing in credit card/identity theft scamming. Heavily accented caller with phone bank noise in the background.
- Caller: Exhibition Hotel Management
- Call type: Telemarketer
- John Wilcox| 1 replyThis is an Egyptian phishing fraud scam.

- Tami KesslerAmanda West called from 1-888-511-7396 to one of our meeting attendees (exhibitor) to make hotel reservations for our meeting in Florida. I called them back and asked what their company name was, and how they obtained our exhibitor list. They WERE NOT from the hotel we booked for our meeting, they are just selling rooms. She did not answer either question. I told her we would report them and she said go ahead and hung up.

- University EmployeeAsked to speak with attendee for certain conference someone is attending. They said our university is listed as an attending program and they need to speak with the person coming. I gave vague answers and they requested that I book a hotel room with them to make sure the attendee has a room. I said I'd have the attendee call back if they needed, got a phone number (doesn't work) and they hung up.
Heavily accented, multiple people speaking in the background in both English and another language.- Call type: Scam suspicion
- AmySame bit, a company offering discount hotel rooms for an upcoming event our company takes part in. I know it's not too weird for people of other countries very far from English to take on English names for the sake of not repeating themselves constantly but I mean Jason Wayne..

- AGScam company. They claim to be with a conference you are attending, but they got your name from the posted conference website. They want your credit card to "make hotel reservations" but they are not related to the conference and are just scamming to steak credit card numbers.
- Caller: they did not identify (claimed to be from my conference but it is fraud.)
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- BKI am a remote worker attending a conference in Hawaii next month. Caller from this number left a message in our customer service center for the "attendee of the conference". They didn't know my name. They named the hotel and the conference and the current rate. Said the rate was $30 less (even though I booked it 2 weeks ago). Said his name was Johnny Twaine and to call him back on 888-571-7396. Also stated the call was urgent.
- Caller: Didn't say company name, acted like he was from Hilton.
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- N/ACalling "on behalf" of our company and conference and pressuring our attendees and clients into booking rooms through them. They're using scare tactics and lying to get personal information from our attendees. Ultimately nothing more that a credit card scam.
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- Kat| 1 replyHeavily accented female called the office I'm a gatekeeper for, claiming to be calling about a seminar we're attending next month & asking for the trade show coordinator. Knowing this to be a scam call, I asked what it was regarding & she repeated the trade show information. I asked what about that trade show and she said hotel rooms. I told her we're already set and hung up. We get these calls fairly frequently as we attend numerous trade shows throughout the year and they're always scam calls; the TSC books the hotel room(s) as soon as she registers our rep(s) for the show.

- OperatorThe caller was looking for the event coordinator that a group will be attending next month, but there are hundreds of departments at our place of employment, so I inquired who the caller was looking for but she didn't have the person's name or department to give me. I looked up this number to find from 800notes.com that it is a scam. Hung up on that caller quickly.

- BB replies to sarah jeankinsLOL. Nice try, scammer.
- Conference SpeakerSame here. Exotic accent made it impossible to get the details -- who they represent, what they're offering, etc. Supposedly a "wholesaler supporting 85% of all conferences". Tried to convince me they're a legit outfit. And oh so helpful with offering to book me rooms for the team I'm (not) bringing to the conference. Yeah, let me get that credit card information for you.
