Received the call at 9:00, local time.  Caller ID said "Toll Free Caller."  I don't generally answer calls on the landline I'm not familiar with.  I have an answering machine if it's that important.

I have received a call from this number once a day for several months now. Usually about the same time of day. There is no one on the line at any time. I have been on the national do not call registery for some time now, and intend to take further action if it continues. This is my home and we should not have to take calls from anyone not invited to call

Just received a call from this number @1:33 PM PST on 01/08/13.  Since our home answering machine is full at the moment, the phone rang and rang...sheesh are they persistent.  I was quite tempted to answer and either scream into the handset or blow a very loud whistle that is now used primarily for such occasions.  Since I didn't answer, even after a dozen or more rings, it would be interesting to know which scam was behind this call.

So it turns out this appears to be a legitimate call (at least in my case). I received a second call today (01/08/13) from this number @ 3:05 PM PST.  As much as I wanted to just ignore it, I decided to answer it. Discovered it was a robo-reminder call from HUMANA (health insurance provider) inquiring whether the family member (covered by a policy with them) had received their influenza immunization yet, and advised them to get one if they hadn't. Sure wish HUMANA would at least set their equipment up to provide that (basic) info on Caller ID - even if the call(s) being made quite possibly come from a third-party concern, contracted to perform this function.  With just "TOLL FREE" and the originating number displayed, I presumed it was simply another scam.
