Picked up this toll-free no. this evening trying to find info on cisco wireless router and was directed to supportme123 or something like that and was given a 217086 temp. password which allowed this person, Azay, to be on my computer, access my administrative events of over 4,000, which he said would have to be taken off by a certified Microsoft tech for a cost of $99.00 right then; I suspected something, said I wanted to hang up, call someone, he insisted me going ahead until I told him I didn't have money on card and he wanted my checking account information to get the money.  When I told him I didn't own a checking acct. just a debit card, he hung up.  I believe this is a scam by AEMIDIO and there is a ripoff report filed against them on that website.  Please do not fall for this scam.  I am reporting to FCC, or appropriate authority tomorrow.

Got a call that our computer had 10k of  malware infecting it and for $250 for life they would put Microsoft antivirus on it for life. Called my IT provider and they told me it was a scam as Symentic which I have protects it.M y wife was the first to pick up and allowed them into the computer. Later I had my IT go through it thoroughly and nothing happened

I hope you changed all your passwords everyplace as well. And notified your bank and credit and placed fraud alerts out if you had any of this on your computer.

Thanks for your concern. Yes new password and banking is okay. I did my research and they are working out of a house in Justin Texas, 1701 Baxter Springs, Springs,Justin Tx 76247. Take a LOOK ON Google map. Three cars,two black, and a white one in the driveway.  Wouldn't it be great if we all got together and continually called their  free 1888 512 4149 number and vented on them! Ask for Rick Palms,, pseudonym, as I suspect there are just three of them . A midnight call would show our true love for them
