Who are these people. I called back and told them I was representing myself. They hung up. They also called my xwife of 15 yrs and asked her to tell me to call..😲

I received a call from an unknown # stating that I have a CIVIL CASE!  I Informed the caller that is not true, and I hung-up.  After that, I received a text message stating the same information.  The text message also advised me to call this # 888-514-7679,  but I didn’t assuming it is a scam.

Good thinking!  No one calls you to tell you that you have a "CIVIL CASE!"  They would simply have you served.  This is a debt collection/fake process server extortion scam.

Said I was the contact # for my ex husband of 28 yrs. I was wife #1. He's on #5.

They called me too. First time said someone filed a complaint. Next two times said someone would be at my home to arrest me at 5 pm. These are worthless debt collectors on an old debt over 12 years ago. Don't fall for it blocked numbers and reported.

Yea report. They are breaking the law.

Did some major research. This number is debt collectors claiming to be law firm with case against you. In most cases debt is past statue of limitations to collect depending on state. Don't answer, hang up. They are lying and breaking the law. They have been reported to FCC more than once. Hopefully will be shut down with new laws being passed on debt collection and limitations.

They are based out of Florida.

Looks like you either didn't know how to do "major research" or you couldn't figure out what you were reading.  First there is no "statue" of limitations and I will prove that at the end of this post.

Nothing wrong with the existing laws.  Maybe you think that laws stop crime?  If so can you point out one law that has stopped crime?
