A man calling himself George Tayler with a accent that was totally foreign said I was being sued, but would give no details. He left a number to call his lead attorney to discus the suit. This has scam written all over it.

A man calling himself Douglas Reid called me from the same number saying I would not be sued or go to jail if i paid a debt that was made on the internet. The man would not give up any information and after I question him where he was calling from and location he hung up.  Scam, scam, scam

Just received a voice mail on my cell phone saying that if I do not call back to resolve a case against me, I will "be in trouble."     He said something threatening along the lines of, they will come to my place of business or home.   SCAM.   This is not legal, first of all.  Secondly, something like that needs to come to address in writing.  Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT give this person any of your info that may end up being used against you.    If they cannot provide you with specific information regarding your debt, then they are not legit collectors.

Also, this man had a heavy accent, so I couldn't make out his name.

Same as above called my husband at work 9 times and wanted to talk to his manager.

I just received a message from a man with a very heavy accent threatening I will be sued and go to jail and if I do not call back he feels very very sorry for me. This sounds like a SCAM! I have never had a debt collector speak like that and he identified himself to be with the United States Legal Department.

I am filling out a report, and they called my work for 20 min straight..... I am calling my cell phone provider to get blocked, make your own money [***]

Just received a call from this number- SCAM!!!! they are calling my work place and my cell phone saying I owe money or I'm going to jail

THIS IS A COMPLETE SCAM!  Same thing, a gentleman with a very heavy accent told me if I dont pay the debt today I will be sued and go to jail.  When I asked him who the creditor was he called and tongue twisted and didn't know what to say.  I then hung up on him and he called my phone 6 more times and I just hit ignore each time.  SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!

Thank you for doing your postings b/c I keep getting this man calling, I can not understand him and he keeps saying he is an officer, and he is coming to my job.  He says he has my account info. Then he asked me for my info. I just hung up on him.

I been getting the same call for about a couple of weeks ago. The guy told me the same stuff. He told me that his office is in florida and he sound like he's from another country... I just keep sending him to voicemail....

Just got the same call from this same number. He said his name was Devon the first time, then said it was Justin Jones, employee ID# 2234. Was calling for my husband demanding his cell #. When I wouldn't give it he started screaming about us being sued. He said company name was U.S Cash Advance. When I asked when this supposed loan was taken out, he told me he didn't have that info and told me to call his supervisor.

I just rec'd a call from these jerks.  they claim I took a loan out from US cash advance and did not repay the loan; the guy listed off three charges for which this company was pressing on me - all bs.  I called the number back and chewed out the guy.  this is so totally illegal.  the number you can call to reach them back is 1888-518-9841

Reciebed the same call today and they left a threatening voicemail saying all that is stated above with cash advance and three charges against me. I say scam and hope it goes to court this is completely illegal and I say take action against them for harassment and defamation of character for those of you who's work they called. Sorry this just pisses me off to no end that people do this and actually get away with it.

I received a call from this man yesterday. He left a voice mail, however he was asking for information on my brother and threatened to come to my home and to my place of business and that I would be responsible for legal fees.  I called him back and blasted him and told him if he ever called my number again, he would hear from my attorney. He did not answer when I said this and I asked "are you there and did you hear me?". He apologized and hung up.

My client received a call from this outfit claiming she'd taken out a cash loan and they'd sue her and contact her employer if she didn't pay. When I called to follow up, a guy named Jeff answered and, when I told him I was her attorney, he hung up on me. Called back to be certain it wasn't just a call transfer error and he hung up on me again. Seems very likely this is indeed a scam.

hey i just got the same phone call on this number man called it showed it was a call from Romaina! same thing said i was going to jail etc...could not even understand all that he was saying! i have had to change my number they have called work we told them that i do not work here anymore its just hard to listen to those awful phone calls! i just hang up!! scam scam scam!!!

Received several phone calls from this number saying I own them money for a unpaid loan.Threats of jail time.They called my cell they're calling my job.These are some callus people.They're trying to break me down but its not going to work.You are pure evil and you will be caught its just a matter of time Jonathan.

I've been receiving phone calls from this number for the past several weeks.  They've been calling my director at work as well - 15 times yesterday!!!  I asked them to send me proof of this loan and they say they can't.  They told me they were going to file suit against my employer as well - total SCAM!!!  I have called the police to report them - just waiting for a call back.  Anyone know how to make them stop calling my work?  Apparently if the person calling is an employee of the debt company they don't fall under the laws regarding debt collectors.  They can call my phone all they want, I don't care, I just don't answer, but I'm afraid the harassment at work might cost me my job.

I have been getting these calls for months on end and several times a day! I am currently not even working due to lay off with the company that employed me. Yet this "Ben Johnson" person kept saying he was going to be calling my supervisor. Interesting since he had the wrong information on my employer to begin with. However, he did threaten suing me and jail. When I spoke to him the second time his name was " Andy", and the third time he was "Joseph". He kept hanging up on me when I wanted information like how much I took out this supposed loan for, when it was done, where, what time and that kind of thing. Therefore, I just kept calling them like they did me! The third time I asked him where he had obtained all my personal information from as he knew my SSN, DOB, DL#, phone # but had my employer wrong and my address incorrect. I did not correct it for him either! He stated that he had obtained it from the States Attorney's Office for FL due to a felony I had committed and they were coming after me. Once I informed HIM..."Ben Johnson Andy Joseph" Dude! That was really quite interesting and that I would certainly have to disagree with his information! Especially considering that #1 was married to a police officer for 10 yrs and know for a fact he is lying and couldn't even begin to get that kind of "information handed to him from the State Attorney's Office for the State of FL" as it would be HIGHLY ILLEGAL for them to disclose, I can’t have a felony and be married to an officer of the court, and given that fact that I am State Licensed, I am sure he lying because in order to obtain a License in ANY State (like Nurse, Insurance, Dr.) you have to pass an extensive federal background check with finger printing, NOT TO MENTION THE TOP SECRET GOVERNMENT CLEARANCE I held to boot!!!! I also informed him that I have an open case with the Federal Trade Commission for fraud and ID theft and misuse of my SSN and other information and I would certainly be reporting HIM "Mr. Ben Johnson Andy Joseph", the Phone # and the company name of "US Cash Advance"!!! He hung up on me and I called back for the next 30 min just to do what they do to all of us and he wouldn't answer... no one did and it kept going to voice mail. I will not leave one!!! I want to know who else we can report these thieving scam artists who make our lives hell to and what else we can do! I want some damn justice! BTW... the terrorist got his dues the other day, and as far as I'm concerned, these people are exactly same on a lower level, just doing it one person at a time... I will NOT continue to be the victim!!! Therefore, anyone who knows what else we can do to stop this, I am ready to lead the charge!!!
