Return call on a id block line got a person who I could tell english wasn't their native lang., they hung up when i ask where their company was and how they got my number

Rc'd a V/M call from number 405-849-0534, about your loan application,  'WHICH YOU NEVER APPLIED FOR ' to call this number back to fulfill your app. #888-531-7002. These jokers use various area code and numbers, USING THE ROBO CALL SYSTEM.... JUST PURE SCAMMERS HARD AT WORK. HOPING TO FIND ONE SUCKER TO STEEL THERE MONEY. ...SCAM... SCAM... SCAM

I have heard of using "STEEL" to build buildings, ships, cars, trains, etc. but never in regard to money unless you mean the cost of it.  Maybe you meant "steal their money"?

"Important" call about loan application, needing further documentation for approval.

They are unrentless in these calls. Is there any way to get off the call listS without getting caught up in anything? Like others, I've never applied for a loan so there is NOTHING to discuss with them.

Relentless.  Calling from various numbers throughout the US with always the same loan application completion nonsense.  Impossible to get off their no call list, and they somehow manage to breakthrough call blocking on my iPhone.  I receive 3 to 5 calls a day from these people with always the same voicemail.  Good luck getting them to stop.  Calling and asking to be removed is useless.  I should've known better because the calls only became more frequent.  So much for our government agency's attention to obvious scam calls.

These people are horrible!  Never applied. Get 3-4 calls a day from different numbers. Reported them. Hopefully others will report them as well.

Well spoken american english accentless male voice leaves message about loan application (which I never applied for) & uses words like "urgent", "immediate", "important" to call them back.

They ARE relentless!! I have 888-531-7002 and 888-531-7284 as the numbers they leave on the vm, luckily my phone recognizes them as spam so I don't have to hear it ring, but still deal with cleanup of voicemails.

They will not stop calling me multiple times a day from all different numbers. I have answered twice asking to be taken off the call list and I just keep getting calls more frequently. I don't know how to make them stop.

I’ve been getting these calls for months, first robo, now a male voice trying even harder - all the “urgent” words. The only good thing about this one was that I got the company name, because all the robo calls started mid message. Never applied or even heard of them. I have turned off ring for all non-contact calls, so at least I’m not bothered by that. Latest VMware return call # left was x7002.  deleted the rest.

Recieved a call from 1-689-222-2593 claiming I applied for a loan of 50,000 dollars and I needed to return call to finish giving info on loan application. I NEVER APPLIED FOR A LOAN? Left a number of 1- 888-531-7002 to return call to this is a scam donot call.

I received a missed call from (689)222-2825 on 5/14/2024 that left a message on my voicemail saying they were calling from Breakthrough Lending and this was my final reminder to to complete my application. It was required that I contact them immediately by calling 1-888-531-7002. I googled the number they called from which brought me to another website like this where another person described the call.  Dead giveaway this sounded scammy from the get go was the fact that I have not applied for any loan anywhere either.

Some advice regarding these calls:
They are criminals and don't care about the do not call list.

Ive heard people say that when you answer the calls and ask them to stop, you are confirming that the number is an active number that someone actually picks up..Hence more incessant calls. 🤷‍♀️

Some people like to answer and waste the caller's time though. I wonder if that tactic could get someone's  number on  the scammers' do not call list.
