Does anyone here know who they are?

This is the number I was given to contact CitiBank about a credit card application I filled out

I was given the same number to call back about an additional offer?  It sure seems like phishing to me

I just got this number to call in an email after applying for a new card from Citibank/AAdvantage, but I'm gonna find their number another way and then call THAT number instead....they must be NUTS to think I would call a number from an email...

I also got the number from my email after applying for a Citi® Credit Card. At first they asked my phone number and I told them. After that, they basically told me all the information (address, DOB, etc) about me and asked me to verify them. At the end they asked me for SSN, but I told them that I cannot disclose that information over the phone. The representative appreciated that I did not disclose my SSN, and told me that he would post mail me for the SSN. I said okay to him.

I just applied for a Citibank Citi Platinum Select MasterCard, and they just sent me an e-mail saying,
"Thank you for applying for a Citi® Platinum Select® account.
We have additional information we would like to discuss with you to ensure we provide you with the product that best meets your needs.
Please call us at 1-888-556-0463 between 11:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday or between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. ET, Saturday, before 11/01/2008.

I was suspicious of this e-mail, because when I went to the Citibank website, there was no such number listed... I'm going to call the regular number and see what they have to say.  If the number IS for an additional offer, I probably don't want it!!
