Is it legal to keep calling my job threating me

Scam. They say there is legal action against you and they are giving you a chance to "settle" out of court. They want your credit card, personal info, etc.

These people are calling my 80 year old mother and threatening her.

These people are calling people that don't even know me.  There is no validity to their claim.  Wanted to settle on something that is not real.  BEWARE!

Third call from them.

threatening to be served. want card info on-line. will not mail anything in writting. anyone else know of this number?

Keep calling & leaving message with a case number & warning that the court will be notified that we were a failure to be served if don't call back.  Said they woudl call three times.  DId that but then kept caling - last time said they would give me 3 hours grace to call back.  I just ignore thier phone calls.  If they really know me, they should come to the door.

Left a message with a case # and the phone # stated above.  Called them back and the message sounded very unofficial and suspicious.  Rang 12 times and said "Corporate Officers" is not available to answer your call.  Leave your msg.  Called asking for someone not at our number, and very intimidating.  Says will call 3 times and then legal action, about something vague.  Don't give them any info

Threatening to send uniformed officer to my job..referring to an old debt that has been paid off.......trying to get me to send them $1600

They have called and left messages about legal action and that I have a two hour window to call back.

They called my home phone looking for my daughter.Someone left a voice saying my daughter has some legal action goign on agaist her.

called twice leaving msg with cast #, saying they want to send uniformed officcers, summons to appear in court.  they give no reason why i'm being summon.

Got my call from these folks at work & home today.  Will tell them not to call work.  I got the same "legal BS" as the folks above.  Scare tactics by real '[***]!!!'  Did anyone get the name Steve MURRAY?

Yes, he calls my workplace and my home.  Steve Murray.  What a jerk.  He told the girl in my office that he was from a legal firm and needed to talk to me before they proceeded with litigation.  He should not be giving this information to just anyone and even though she told him her name when he asked, he still proceeded with explaining that he was from a legal firm and calling for me.

Called my cell phone for my husband with the same threatening phone call-from a restricted line @ that- when you call the number back and ask for an Ashley Wright who left the message no one by that name after I explained wht they were doing was fraud. And today they called my father in law and left same message. They can not disclose personal info to anyone other than you it is illegal the debt (if really exists) can be fought and thrown out. Reality is if it even is an old debt they have to supply it all in writing and show proof. Criminals are gettn smarter but the sad thing is how did they get this info and some of it is personal. Like how did they get my husband dads info when he uses none of that info since he was 19 and now he is 41??????

Same thing here, they called looking for my wife, same threatening bs as everyone else but the name they used for her was Nicole Carter

Yep I got Nicole Charter as well. I asked her for HER personal information and told her that I was well aware of her scam and that she could kiss my behind. She called my work, my home and my cell phone. Now i have to get a new cell phone number....darn it all!

I got the same call total BS calling about an old debt from god I don't know how many years ago.  They can't do anything that they stay down here and you know what if you don't get served you don't get served that's no crime if they couldn't serve you if you were to get served.  They are just trying to scare you they can't do anything that they state for me they even called saying they were from my county court office.  Really people?!?  Don't pay the scammerss there's nothing anyone can do to you for old bad credit card debt!!! NOTHING!!!!! That's why it's called unsecured debt!!

It's not going to do any good to recite the law to them, they are criminals,not a collection agency  I wouldn't even give them the time of day   Just laugh at them when they call see how pissed you can get them
