unwanted caller to cell phone.   I am on the do not call list!

Do not call lists don't apply to collection people!

Called several times. First told to call 888-454=4011 and second time to call 888-454-5350. Have not responded.

best thing to do is pick up and hang up. these people are a bunch of low life scam artists. NEVER speak to anyone

I don't have an account with Time Warner.  Have no idea why they are calling my cell.  I never answer calls I don't recognize.  I suggest this to anyone.

no aswer call  i get call a like 4 am and when  i aswer they say nothing send to voice mail leave like 20 min mess saying nothing make it stop i hate i chng my # two time it still dont stop

It's always the same voice message for a Korean name (perhaps a previous owner of my cell phone number). I never call back and I already add this number to reject list.

I always google the number and if it is not a number that shouldn't be calling me I do not answer.  Some 800 numbers track live phone numbers for telemarketers.  As long as you pick up and say hello you register your number as a good number and open for sale.  So as long as you answer these calls whether they're debt collectors or not, your number is up for grabs for all the telemarketers.

I'm a bit mad at these folks. These morons keep calling me and I'm glad I found out who this is. It is a collection agency, but they have the wrong number and keep asking for them~~~ they call up to 5 times a week and take up my answering machine time. I've contacted the FTC: 877-382-4357 and filed a complaint :) FTC also governs collection agencies, so give them a call and get 'em in trouble.

Btw, did anyone else try calling back to talk to a rep? When I did, there was an option to speak to someone for a charge. Huh?

Thank you for posting info about them. FTC told me to send a letter and then legal action can be taken.

all my cell phone's caller ID says is "CBA1", which I have to surmise is Collection Bureau of America, though I am not sure why there is a number one in it......  No message left, but I use YouMail.com to screen my calls on my cell, so I will add this to a list of unwanted calls

BTW, when I do answer my land line, and it is a collection call, this is what I do now.  I don't know about any of you out there, but we got underwater when the economy tanked.  The hubby got sick twice and we have medical bills out the yazoo.  So, when collection agencies call me and ask for me by name, I don't confirm my indentity.  I make them do that.

Collection Agency: "Is this Jan XXXX?"  

Me: "You called me.  You have all the information -- why don't you confirm with me who you think I am and I'll let you know?  It sounds like you think you already know this phone number, what is the address?"

C.A.: "Well Ma'am, we can't do that...."
Me:   "But you called me.  I didn't call you, so you must have more information on me than I do.  Go ahead and tell me who you think I am and what the trouble is."

Not once do I say I am the person they are seeking.  

Flusters them every time I have done it.  And I always end these delightful conversations with "Do not call here again if you can't identify who I am about whatever debt you are trying to collect"

Did not pick up - I get several calls from this number, sometimes every second day!!

when I moved in to my new apt the cable guy told me the 'box' was mine to keep? when I moved out two years later, I put the box in storage with everything else I needed to store-till I got a bill for 400 bucks for the stupid box!
I called Warner cable to explain the misunderstang and that I was 3000 miles away from the storage locker and that I certainly would get the box back asap.
Turns out they turned me in for collection regardless, screw them and time Wraner they arent getting anything now.

OMG.  .. . stop Freaken calling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! leaves messages all the time. if i answer they just hang up. WOW good business.
