888-558-3514

I got this number in a pop-up that froze my computer and told me to call it to connect with "Microsoft technical support." This is the EXACT SAME pop up I'd gotten just a few days before, but it had the phone number 877-873-4887 on it, instead of 888-558-3514. It was a total scam. You can see numerous sites and articles if you google the 877 number. It turned out to be a company called "My Expert Advise" (yes, Advise, not Advice) who claimed to be legit Microsoft support contractors. Unfortunately I gave them access to my computer and paid them $900 for new Antivirus software (which could have been another virus they installed) and 5 year tech support plan for multiple devices. Then had to spend days and days and days, and hundreds of dollars, getting my computer cleaned up, starting an identity theft monitoring program, closing all my accounts, and changing all my passwords.
