- Melanie| 3 replies2 people that I know received post cards stating they are owed funds from a Texas Based Public Agency. I checked the unclaimed property website claimittexas.org which is the state website that lists funds you are owed by any company that has reported it as they should annually. I was able to locate funds owed to other individuals but not one of the two that received the post card. This is bogus. The address listed is for a virtual office in Austin. Just like the Geekdom building in San Antonio. It was not a call but a post card that was received with the number listed on it. The names and address listed on the post cards match up to what the county tax office has listed for property taxes. When checking the county tax site there are not credits on file.

It is a federal crime known as "Mail Fraud" to send out scams in the mail. If it is a fraud, I am going to report it to the Postal Authorities. - post pending moderator approval
- MarieI also received a card in the mail stating that there was money due me. However I already knew that there was a way to claim it and it was nothing close to what they are saying that I’m owed. More than likely they will take your information and do the same thing that you can do through www.claimittexas.org. Did not call the number on the card 888-563-0210
