Scam claims

Caller began by using my first name and saying she had been retained to come to my home and serve legal documents. Then she apologized ("I'm so sorry...") and said they were not for me but were for another person in my household (she used their first name). That was her first error. She said they were in reference to charges and that one was possibly fraudulent. Second error, it made no sense? She said to contact "the firm" to get this resolved before she comes out to our home and that she was leaving the office at 4. Also, if the person in my household that she referenced had any questions then they should contact the firm at 888-564-2175. Obviously a scam of some kind. SHE sounded fraudulent, lol.

Very helpful was able to clear my account @ 70% off.

Shill Post Reported.  So "Tammy" why not tell us the name of this wonderful place?  Just to make sure.  Maybe "Tammy" got taken in by this debt scammer, but in general, rave reviews are posted by shills.

That pattern and line about '...she had been retained to come to my home and serve legal documents." is exactly the way these places make their opening move. There are no papers to be delivered or signed. The scammers try to be clever and not say you are being "served" since that would be Big Time Illegal, but they do imply this is a "legal" service.

I got a call from this number twice in a row. They left me a voice message that states:

   Hi, this is Jeff King with the claims department of Elite Financial Service. Trying to locate (my name) with the last
   four of the SSN reading (reads the last 4 of my social) I'm supposed to schedule a service delivery for a
   member of the sheriff's department in XXXX County regarding a claim being filed against you for theft by
   deception, which is a very specific form of fraud. Please call into the office as soon as possible. It doesn't
   appear that you've been an active participant in the process up to this point. My name is Jeff King. You can
   reach me between the hours of 9 a.m. And 5 p.m. My number is 108-564-2175. And again, my name is Jeff
   King. Thank you.

Now mind you I got two different voicemail from the same person. One had my partial address in it. The one above did not. Now, if this is a debt collector, then they should be sending me this in writing. He didn't even state the name of this "client" Also, to schedule a service? what does that even mean???

Can someone let me know if this is legit? It sounds like a scam or a shady debt collection company.

I ignored the call and i did eventually get served docs and now my checking acct is frozen so........Theres that. (sadface emoji)

I'm just trying to find out if this is real or a scam. I received a call telling me that i had gotten a loan and they were now getting me for faud. And that if i did not contact them that and Dale County ifficer would be serbing me court papers. So i contacted them and gave them my debt card number and set up payments of 200 dollars. Now ive been scammed before several times. I font have a local checking accoount number but my check is deposuted into my account. My problem is that uts fue to come out today and i don't have the funds to cover it. Its my whole paycheck. Im behinning to feel like this is gonna come back on me. So please someone let me know if this is for teal

Your caller is a SCAMMER, "FRED S." is a SHILL & is lying through his teeth and if you don't immediately cancel that debit card you're going to be ripped off.

Cancel your debit card immediately!!!! You say you've been scammed several times yet you still feel for this?!?!
Never simply pay anyone who calls you claiming you owe money! Demand they follow the law by mailing you both proof of the debt and that they're legally entitled to collect said debt.

Okay I did call them back and set up payment arrangements that are due to come out of my debt account today except for the amount we agreed on is not there and my account that i have is a on line checking account but i can't write checks and not able to do deposits unless i link them from another one of my accounts. So j have no way of making this agree payment cause im short of the funds. I now dont know what to do. Please someone help me.

It's a scam. Trust me I would know

They had my name and my son's name saying he was being charge for check fraud and will be charged with theft by check. He said his name was Jeff King with legal services. He said it could be resolved out of court. To contact him at this number ext 107. I called I got a voice that said he was Jeff King with American Elite. My son had never owned checks.
