Called at 8:30 at night. They hung up after three rings. I added them to my blocked call list.

Called 4 times in the past 24 hours, including late in the evening. No message left.

I got a call from this number.  I did not answer.  I later Googled the phone number and I found multiple links that indicate the number belongs to Georgeson LLC.  It is a firm that tries to contact shareholders (investors) to participate (vote) in the proxy process for a company's annual meetings.  Disney had a similar company phone me daily to get me to vote before their annual meeting.

That isn't what I am reading after doing a Google search of the number.  They are apparently selling stocks or buying certain stocks, which make them a stock broker.  There would be no need to have someone phone you to vote, since the board of directors usually get to use the votes for people who have not responded.

Google the actual company name Georgeson LLC and note the various services they offer one of which is "proxy solicitation".  Yes they offer other services but they are not just a stock broker.

They are calling twice a day so I finally answered.  I asked if this was in regards to a proxy.  The lady said yes.  I said I do not do proxies.  She thanked me for my time and we hung up.  I did not ask what investment on whose behalf they were calling but if you get a call from this number it is in regard to a proxy / shareholder voting issued by one of your investments.

finally answered the call and "David" said he was from microsoft windows tech support and my computer was hacked
