- RobScam.
Called my work claiming to be a law office, and stated they were having court papers served to me. Regarding some $8k they claim I owe to a bank. Offered to settle for half if I decide within 2 hours. Claim they mailed out a letter beforehand, but I never received or signed for anything. The first man I talked to was nice, talking over me constantly, but nice.
After searching through my recent mail to be sure I didn’t receive anything from them, and pulling all of my credit reports (confirmed no account existed), I called back as I still didn’t know the name of the law firm. It sounded like “Glenfield Law Firm”, but couldn’t get a straight answer. I asked for a website, and that’s when the 2 men I talked to began to act extremely rude and childish. Acting like literal children. They didn’t like that I asked that. They began to change the subject, trying to make me feel bad for “defrauding the bank that I owe money to.” It was like the devil got caught, and his true identity was revealed. I hung up on them, now realizing this was a scam.
Sure enough, I got served no court papers after not accepting the “settlement offer”.- Caller: “Glenfield Law Firm”?

- Rlove79 replies to BigAThey’re both my posts, buddy. I couldn’t remove the anonymous one. Thanks for checking up on me though.
- Bugsy| 1 replyGood to see this number was searched 150 times on another "report a call" website. I totally agree with the way the scammers present themselves as detailed above by Rob. They called my cell on Monday, 12/13/21, with my CID showing a "Restricted" number. I chose not to answer it and let it roll over to V-mail where the dude made his threatening pitch, naming a "case number" and to call back on the 888 number (presented here), plus something about me owing a bank money (I don't -- I'm retired and have zero debt). Haven't called them and haven't had another call from them since.
I am mostly bothered by vulnerable folks that will call them back or answer the phone right away and be suckered into the scam.- Caller: Glenfield Law Firm

- BigA replies to BugsyPosters on this site have mentioned names similar to what you were given. Seems to be a new name to what is probably an old criminal organization.
