The message I got was:
my name is Alia I'm contacting you to discuss a matter that has been forwarded to my office for consideration of legal action including the filing of the lawsuit and complaint with a court discuss these pending actions and may be filed against you you will need to immediately contact the firm directly handling your file the office number is 888-572-1474 please reference your file number ####.  Sounds like spam.

You need to immediately DELETE the message & report at www.consumerfinance.gov & your state attorney general.  IF there was a problem, you would not be warned.

I got a call from this number the gal had an accent and was hard to understand she gave me a number to call and an account number I guess or reference number. I could hear so many people in the background talking that made me suspicious I came right online to check.

This number attempted to get to me through my employer. Be careful!  They use numbers also listed with Google Voice to attempt a look at normalcy.

Is this a scam then?  The guy made it sound so legit when he was talking and contacted me at work.  I didn't think they could call you at work.
