Paid not once but twice?  Why was it paid twice?  No doubt that you are on the crooks easy marks list and your name has been sold to all sorts of people looking to scam you out of money.   You say you received a letter?  Did it contain this:

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

If it didn't, then it is in violation of federal collection laws.  If it did then this is what you must do:

You need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation, cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it.
It is incumbent upon them to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it.  Not the other way around.

And from the sounds of it, you really, really need to use these links to learn how not to be a victim of this crime.

Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

They threatened to garnish my wages and put a lein on my property for something that i simply forgot about. Told them im more than willing to pay but they refused to work with me. They told me to wait to be served because i told them i couldnt afford 200.00 a month. Im honestly am at a lost for words.

Do NOT pay them anything until they have validated the debt!

Ask the caller for his or her name, company, street address, telephone number, and professional license number. Many states require debt collectors to be licensed. Check the information the caller provides you with your state officials, or the state in which the debt collector holds a license. If the caller refuses or is unable to provide you with information about his company, or if you can’t verify the information he provides, do not give money to the caller or company.

Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." This notice must include:
    The amount of the debt
The name of the creditor you owe
A description of certain rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, consider requesting this information in writing or seeking assistance before paying the debt to make sure the debt, and the company, are valid.

Tip: You can consider sending the collector a letter requesting the information by using one of the CFPB's sample letters. You can also submit a complaint to the CFPB or you can contact your state Attorney General’s office.

Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate – but you think the collector may not be – contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

Im not going to be difficult with them. Im just going to wait to be served. I know i owe the money because it is my account and its under all my information. There is no point in trying to avoid something that i really did not pay. I know i owe and im not going to dispute that its mine because it is. I just feel if i borrow money i should be held responsible for it. I dunno i just believe in karma. What goes around comes around and if you avoid something you owe then it will come back. Id rather just take responsibility for whatever happens.

In that case, get back with us when you are "served"---and lend some credibility to your post by providing additional details as to who this caller really is, including their  name, company, street address, telephone number, and professional license number, OK? Otherwise, stop wasting our time.

You aren't by any chance the same Cynthia who claims to be  a process server from the "Summit County Rose Office" are you?  I say this because your  post has the flavor of shill in it.

So.  How about telling us the name and physical location of this group that you are so willing to pay?

Right now they are calling themselves Stanley and Jacobs.  Is that correct?  I can't find any reference to such an agency anywhere.

Neither can I. Both of her posts contain a lot of vague information. "Waiting to be served" on a "I forgot about it" along with a "Something from years ago" debt are very suspect...
