called and offering gift certifactie to lowes and home depot and a free enery test for home. setting appts to come into home.

Recieved post card in mail as well. /Green Solutions in background of post card with over lap of " *please contact us within 72 hours."

I received the card and called the number. They offered me and my wife a free energy audit and gift card. Turned out to be a blessing, we learned so much about what we were doing wrong and are now saving at least 39% off of our monthly power bill even in July and August. Definitely not   a scam.

I go the "Electric Update!" version.  Won't call.  
Interesting that people do call these things though....

39% savings off a monthly power bill would suggest that you were doing a lot of things wrong.  I used a whopping 271 KWH last month, electric water heat, AC and electric range, SE NC.  Computer stays on 24/7 but it uses <100 watts.

Get a Black and Decker energy monitor ~$20 from Amazon or someone else - tells you up to the minute what it is costing you in real time.  Wireless device that attaches to your power meter (mine is electronic but it does the old mechanical ones too) and transmits a signal to inside and gives you your usage and what you'll have spent at the end of the month (running average).  Very neat and useful.

YES, THIS IS A SCAM !!!!!!!    They will come out to your home but they wont ever send you the gift card that was promised. I have been calling them since july and still no card. Also the good report above is posted by someone with the last name Green and that was the same last name of the guy that came to my house. I am going to report them to the BBB.
